Yes, the Warner is stunning, and the restoration worth every cent. It's now a real destination, and Torrington is about as far away from anywhere that you can get. The Palace is in an even more ideal location for bringing people in, and it is a gem. Restore, restore, restore.

Gee I can't wait to pay a large premium for a taxpayer subsidized theatre show. Of course there will be no free parking, but don't worry, the taxpayers can build yet another new parking facility to accommodate people will attend events. Before or after the show, I can't wait to walk around downtown Danbury at night. I'm certain everyone looks forward to being rejected by a restaurant (as you described in your glowing report) and kicked back out to the dangerous and dark street.

My alternative, is watching a program in HD on my home theatre. Enjoying the company of my family, and hitting pause as needed. I won't have to sit next to unknown people who may or may not be pleasant to be next to.

Yup, lets just sink millions into the Palace theatre and really enrich some developer.

Well, perhaps if people had a reason to be downtown, they might have a bite to eat there, and perhaps do a little window shopping, or at least have a cup of coffee. Maybe - just maybe - those properties start being worth something again.

I don't care if some people get rich in the process. We'll all be richer if downtown turns the corner again. If it could happen in New York City, why not Danbury?

No public money until the city owns it.

sorry but torrington is missing something hablabury has in spades - dark brown illegals who no habla ingles. the reason there is not more local support for endeavors like the film festival & in harmony is because the local illegal population only supports business & events directed at their culture. Bring brazilian soccer into the skating rink & watch business explode. But boughton continues to wear blinders & throw events the majority of hablaburys leisure class would never turn out for. Wake up Boughton the white people are gone.
Your intellect astounds!

Stay home! Your version of reality sounds remarkably like mental illness.
