You can't spell worth beans. Where did you get your education, for a man who never got into trouble or mischief? And BTW, I'm 46 and have deep TX Hill Country roots myself.

Bottom line, your spelling and grammar sucks, period.

<quoted text> Beilieve it or not, none. I listened to my parents always, obeyed the law enough to say never been in jail, or gotten a ticket ever, etc..., and I am 44! Yes, I believe I am fortunate, I grew up back when kids could do alot more stuff, and now kids are extremly limited due to gangs, petifiles, etc. HOWEVER, I also believe that most kids these days are just rotten, and theyre parents worst. People these days are just way different lacking politeness, RESPECT for others property, the way they treat theyre teachers is criminal, just a bunch of spoiled kids and parents running around wanting somrthing for nothing.

<quoted text>Perhaps you should take a reading class. I never said I was against them having a place to scate, I just feel that if it going to be, it shouldnt be at the taxpayers expence.My father, a veteren who fought for this country years ago is forced to live on an income that wouldnt even pay your gardener, and HE should be taxed more so that people like you,and the others that love the oportunity to have someone else watch your kids, for free? Call me what you will, it probabbly takes away the pain of the attention your not getting anymore that you need, but it looks like I am the only one here right now with a brain, AND common sence.And as for the 2 year old on the swing, at least they are not pestering people on theyre way to the park by darting out in front of them off the sidewalk, or causing trouble for the guy at 7-11.
Perhaps you should take a SPELLING class! Expence? Scate? Sence? Veteren? Theyre?

The Wilson Park Skate Park has the potential to be a top-notch facility if it were in the right hands. Should we have expected a different result when it was put in the hands of the City to operate and maintain? It has a hard enough time maintaining the roads.

Why doesn't the Daily Breeze mention Hawthorne's skate park. Just because is named after are mayor Larry Guidi we should be included in the skate park list. Hawthorne, always gets left behind on this kind of stuff.

Torrance is a wealthy city. They should step up and build a concrete skate park to replace the wooden skate park and they should build it right ~ build by Skaters for Skaters. City of Torrance should recognize that it is one of the first places Skate Boarding was originated. That there alone should influence an awesome skate park design. Where's the petitions to get this concrete park going?~ I'll sign it!

Good idea, maybe we need a petition. I cannot believe that the idiots in charge, would spend 350k on a park that was not made of concrete......mind numbing indeed!

Open letter to the Torrance city council;
I heard from one of the park workers that the bowl will not be re-opened, and that part of the skate park will be allocated to other purposes.
I see this as a lame resolution to a poorly managed problem.
There are many skaters in the community that would gladly use the park if it were open more days a week, and this would encourage more membership enrollment. The increased revenue could cover maintenance.
I would encourage Torrance to look into Culver City's management of their park. It is an outstanding park, and it is open daily, from dawn until 9PM. It even has lights.
If Torrance is not interested, it speaks volumes about what you think about your constituency.
I encourage all local skate shops and sporting good stores to get involved in helping resolve this as the loss of the park hurts the sport.
Skateboarding is a sport, get used to it, and it is the preferred sport of many.
Some of us skaters are of voting age, and so are the parents. We will remember at the next election if you leave us flapping in the wind.
