Why would the prosecutors even consider accepting a plea ? They obviously had enough evidence to go to trial or it would not have gone forward this far. They would have won their case and Jackson would serve up to 7 years. This man committed a crime over and over, dishonored the City and his co-workers. Six months is not enough.

I'm disgusted he ever got a job with the city and even more disgusted with this milk-toast punishment. We need to increase penalties for those who would break the public trust. What a moron. The D.A. rolled over. Will he go to regular prison? Perhaps he can inspect the shower drains.

A Black man in power telling white folks that there projects were not approved. and look at the comments posted here...there are emotional ties to this case...hmmm why would you care so much?? obviously cause there is personal hate towards the guy. Ughhh disgusted. This sure was a case of Justice Denied. And may all who were involved stand before god and be judged =)

Right....& he must be a man too, because they do these kinds of things. He's probably not white, as some genius pointed out - cause all whites are out to get non-whites. He probably wears shoes too, cause you know people who wear shoes are all quilty. It's dissapointing that spin always comes in to play & the facts - reality seems to convienently get overlooked?

Not one previous poster, nor any poster after your post, mentioned this criminal's race, ethnic background, skin color or anything else as racist as what you posted.

How deep down the rabbit hole might this have gone?

Did it stop just with him? Why the rush to cop to a plea so fast?

Just the tip of the iceberg. Typically there is a food chain associated with bribery. An honest investigation might have turned up some interesting gotchas.

Hey Racism, Im appaulled that you pointed out that he is black. What is he doing committing a white crime? He should stick with carjacking and breaking and entering.

RACISM : Youve been judged to be a lunatic by a jury of you peers. You can tell by his name, Victor Orlando Jackson is obviously a white man, and he is obviously innocent, because he only pled guilty to one count, and he is already back at work in HB.
