there will always be ghetto people in mall parking lots, or movie theaters. has nothing to do with the condition of of the city it happens in necessarily. Galleria is waaaaay worse than Del Amo and remember the shooting at the el segundo theaters last year, who carries a gun to the movies?

I live near the Del Amo Fashion Center and I'm not happy about the changing clientele and crime. I've seem many houses up for sale around the area and no buyers?

That's only because they were subprime buyers, it's not because of the HOOD....

I wonder if it was the short stocky 20 yr. old guard that speeds around with his yellow strobe lightbar blinding everybody, damn he's like Don Knots trying to look important. He's a joke he probably mouthed off to the smokers. I don't think Del Amo pays these guys to do anything other than control traffic and be addional eyes if needed, they are security only not crime fighters.

I think that yes the mall has changed alot this past few years, and its terrible when these people cause incidents like this.I have talked to alot of the mall security and their are a few sharp guys there. With no police, i think they do alot of good their, im glad they are there!Maybe they need more equiptment?times are changing.

Every time I go to the mall, I see all the security guards gathered together in a group. How can they be guarding the mall, when they're all together on one end of the mall (lifestyle end). I think the mall made a mistake by taking out the Torrance Police Dept from the mall.
I don't feel safe and I'm always on guard when I rush through the mall. I rarely stroll the mall these days especially the Sears end.

Ever since this happen the security gaurdz are so uptight... they think they are real cops... I was followed by several security guards for no aparent reason... and they kicked me out of the mall and made me walk around the perimeter to get back to my car... 5 security guard vehicles versus 1 innocent man... if you don't wanna be discriminated or be followed by security guard for no reason do not go to this mall..
