How could this man be given only probation? Any other man, whose name didn't begin with "Dr." would be behind bars. Just because this guy has a title, and a bank account, he gets to walk. It is not fair to us as a society to let him free, while so many others are jailed for lesser offenses. Shame on the prosecutor and judge who let "Doc Holiday" slide!

In any other county in America he would still be behind bars, but this is LA County. You can do almost anything you want: drive drunk, carry a concealed firearm, or threaten the life of the cop that’s arresting you; and you’ll get off with a slap on the wrist. It’s just the way it works here. And people wonder why there aren’t more DUI arrests. Wouldn’t it be ironic if a DUI driver collided into this guy some day.

I wonder if he tried to bribe the officer with a free tooth brush...<tapping mic> is this thing on?...Maybe he was just upset that the Officer didn't floss...no? not funny? How about this one: It was later discovered that the Dentist used Jack Daniels instead of his normal mouth wash, honest mistake.

I'll be here all week, tip your waitress...

I'll bet he will never get his guns back. Which is a greater crime? The theft of $2k worth of guns, or a DUI?

Setting all this legal stuff aside, he's quite a good dentist actually.

You Anti-Dentite's should be ashamed of yourselves!

Now if he were Latino, Black, Asian or poor White he would still be sitting in jail and facing dozens of charges.

Larry Altman why have you shut off comments on your other stories.

You are practicing censorship? Call yourself a news reporter?

No wonder the DB is losing their readership by the hundreds every month.
