Do not use this company. Either they are a scam or they are going under taking people's money without producing an event. Our school was recently ripped off by these people.

Thanks for the heads-up. Good use of Topix.

Creative reunions is definitely a hard boiled scam! I never received a memory book from them of my forty year reunion, and I had to get the state of california involved to get a refund. Their Torrance manager, Wanda Diroll, is an old hand at running this rip off. Don't touch them with a ten foot pole.

Thanks for the great experience! Our reunion was awesome. The extra touches, table centerpieces and great DJ, great food and the hassle free planning allowed me to enjoy the event while your company did all of the worrying and paying attention to the details. Our committee was very pleased!

I feel the performance of Creative Reunions should be highly valued. They excel in their service to class reunions. I know that Wanda had two deaths close together in her family this year and I have also so I know what she has been going through. And as far as the printer that was suppose to get the memory books ready I also have experience working with flakes in that industry. Our food and table decorations were beautiful and our reunion was a blast.

Hello! Is anyone listening, because I'm sitting here fuming about the incredible made up insulting information on a company that I know having worked with them alone some 15 years ago that Wanda the owner had her business so together and worked right along with me to put together an upscale event in Toluca Lake Country Club, in Toluca Lake, Ca.
It's one of the first Reunion this class has had where no one did complain and I don't know if you've ever tried to herd cats but dealing with the drama at Reunions is worse.
Wanda put up the money for us so everything was covered until the money from the people came in. Our yearbooks came out great and the color and titles were what memories are all about. No one remembers it the same way.
So, I believe you were not working with Creative Class Reunions and certainly not Wanda because of all the business people mothers, mom's and friends she stands out heads above most. So, if you can show us receipts, and let us hear in person from others, not just one squeeky wheel that didn't look like she did in highschool and again went home without the boy so she blames the party planner, then we'll talk.
Prove to us this that you say.
And she deserves an apology as well on this site.
Live long,
Charlie Melwing

At the time of our reunion she was homeschooling and raising 7 children, while putting all these reunions on with a smile.
No, you that had problems were more than likely the one to drop the ball.

RE: RIVERSIDE RAMONA HIGH SCHOOL 50TH REUNION OCT 15, 2011

WOW! Charlie Melwing from John Burroughs High School your class was fortunate. Our class worked with Wanda and Creative Class Reunion to the end! If it had not been for the committee it would have been an even larger disaster. Bio books are awful and the names in the back of the book belong to another school. We have picture of female classmate matched randomly with male classmate. There is even a classmate from a different school placed on our bio-book. Refunds which were requested weeks prior to the event have not been returned or even responded to. The venue has not been paid approx $9000.00 The DJ check bounced. The committee is owed monies. I could go on but BEWARE. As a classmate we were advised via a e-mail of the monies owed and difficulties left behind . To date she has not responded re monies owed. She appears to be soliciting additional funds with the photographs taken the night of the reunion. BEWARE. No deliverables have been received. She always had many excuses... Lynn Slaughter

Thank You for your comments. I only wish I had read them sooner. Our experience continues to be a nightmare. Lynn Slaughter, Ramona Hight Riverside event was Oct 15 2011.

Wow! I am very worried since we are planning a reunion which was supposed to be in June of this year. We contracted with Creative Reunions and Wanda last April and after nine months we have had nothing but disappointment. We stayed with her because we felt we had a lot of time, but she kept missing or being late to meetings, rarely returned phone calls but had great ideas and kept assuring us that everything was going well. We finally decided to look into her company since we're 4 and a half months from our supposed date and don't have a venue. We doubt if she has done any research to find classmates and bragged about her sophisticated search engine. Her fee seemed high at $42 per person, but we thought she would certainly earn her money. Now all we hear is that committees were ripped off, checks bounced and reunions were poorly organized. Help! Does anyone have suggestions as to where we can go after we "fire" her. We gave a deposit of $500 and are worried that we will never see that back. Is there a reputable party planner in the South Bay? Thanks for any help. Sandy

We have had problems also. Pictures not sent, emails not answered, phone calls made and messages left not to be returned. We are down to trying to solve the last few problems but it has been a nightmare. Address is a PO Box. Mistakes made and
not corrected, business run very poorly. I was on the committee, had problems with my pictures. She knew I was going to call regarding them, said she to call her and she would help me. Left a message and my phone number, she never returned my call.

Wanda at Creative Reunions is unprofessional and is only looking out for herself. She states that one of their services is to research the contact information for your classmates, and get you a list of correct address's, phone numbers, etc so that you and your committee members can locate your classmates... She says she uses professional location services for this... In our class's case, it all depended on if she could find our 10 year reunion contact list, and then supposedly research off of that... Well at first she couldn't find the 10 year Reunion list and was asking us to find it from the previous committee... Some how after 2 weeks of searching, she found it, and used it to send out our Save The Date invitations (which were mailed about 2 weeks from the date she first said she mailed them), Very few people got the Save The Date invites with the exception of about 40 people or so that I gave her a list of that I had collected from Facebook, etc. even some of those people didn't receive mailings! To top that off, she said that she would research the 10 year list and get it updated. She gave us a list of "updated" classmates which maybe had 50% correct contact information on it with 40 of the 130 so people on the list already given to her by us! Our class had over 330+ people in it!

Enough about the research... Wanda also will not return phone calls, emails etc. She'll wait until the last minute on everything! I am a small business owner myself and I pride myself in giving my clients personal attention, and if they call or email me, I return that call or email ASAP or within 1 business day... Wanda doesn't return calls or emails, and you have to hound her for weeks to get a response or answer to your question. That call list referenced above, well we didn't get that until 1 month before the reunion, after asking for it for months before!!! In this economy, etc., calling people 1 month before an event and asking them to travel, etc., doesn't guarantee you'll get the best turn out! Then to top it off, she will talk you into adding additional money onto the ticket price as a "slush fund" so you can have some "extra money to play with" but what she doesn't tell you is that she'll take that money from you if you don't meet an attendance requirement that she doesn't tell you about until months into the planning or at all! Then she'll add additional services onto your event without approval, say she's doing it out of the kindness of her heart, then she'll later tell you you're being charged for that or she deserves your deposit money/slush fund money because shes lost money out of pocket on your event. Also, classmates that purchased additional items like memory books, etc have not revived their purchased items. This over 3 months from the reunion date. When classmates have called to check on the status of their orders, messages are left for Wanda that go un-returned and the committee members get the complaints! Not to mention the photographs that were supposedly taken by the photographer that she sent have never surfaced! And finally, our committee member that provided her yearbook and other memorabilia has finally had that returned to her, again 3 months after our reunion!

Unprofessional, underhanded and doesn't perform the services she says she will! Don't get fooled into letting this woman plan your reunion!!! She's far more trouble than she's worth!!! Wanda might have performed well "many years ago" as Charlie M has noted above and just recently posted (Hmmmm thats interesting...) but my review is based on how Wanda currently performs and runs things! Not something that is years in the past, but something that has happened within 3 months!

To date the Victoria Club of Riverside has not been paid for our 50th Reunion on Oct 15, 2012.$9,000 plus is owed to date plus she owes monies to the committee and the DJ's check was returned NSF and has not been paid. Our Bio-Book never has been corrected and still has the class listing (in the back of the book) of another high school. I would like to suggest to individuals and class checking this site to PLEASE contact the Nation Association of Reunion Managers (NARM) to register your concerns. Wanda from Creative Reunions is known to NARM but no longer a member (I wonder why!). Our class of Ramona High Riverside Class of 1961 has filed a complaint with NARM. Our response from NARM indicates they have NOT had COMPLAINTS regarding Wanda and Creative Reunions. Should anyone desire to contact us Please contact Ramona High School Riverside as there is an alumni contact person Margaret Perez who would be able to put you in contact with myself or any member of our committee. You may also check the phone directory, I will respond. Please note the most recent comments from NARM indicate Wanda Diroll is "selling the business". She has continued to sign contracts for 2012 reunions. BEWARE friends.

Like I said before, Wanda is an old hand at running this reunions business and she knows the laws and how to play all the carom shots. I got a refund only when I threatened to have a relative hand deliver a small claims court summons. Maybe creative reunions was legit at one time, but they aren't now.

Just as an update, I took Wanda to small claims and we unfortunately lost our case... Because the reunion had already taken place, and such, the judge believed that Wanda had upheld her end of the contract, and thus all the back up etc I had shown pretty much was useless... If we had fired her beforehand then we would have had a better chance of keeping some of our money... Lesson learned, and I hope that more people post to Yelp, etc and tell anyone and everyone they know to stay away from Wanda and her Creative Reunions business... Total rip off and scam!

Creative Reunions is the worst company. I had my 30 year reunion in August 2011 and just got my memory book just shy of a year. I think they threw the pictures up and what ever landed on the floor is the ones they put in the book. It was so thrown together with peoples pictures and the wrong names and the same pictures in a few timea. One women wrote her bio and she got some other person bio mixed in her bio. We are all so disappointed but from the way things look we should be grateful we even GOT our memory book. Wanda does not return phone calls and she is a rip off. Stay away.
