How about sad the dog got adopted by a POS owner. The owner should get charged for making the police kill the dog. If the owner wanted to stop, fine, but blast music, cause any other disturbance, he was asking for the police to contact him. Isn't it funny that this same guy has had numerous bad contacts with this same police department, yet he basically begs them for another contact. Good thing he is a pos and gets free defense attorney that can help him for his new criminal charge. GREAT job officer for making sure the dog didn't bite you or any other officer
Feel free to join that cop and the rest of his supporters in whatever special nazi hell you'll all be assigned to!

Interesting to see all the hawthorn cop trolls on this site defending the cops.
Maybe u guys need to see what we in the rest of the civilized world see- you are out of control criminal thugs serving and protecting yourselves and your masters.
I hope you who defend this horrific act die a horrible death.
Well, I'm not a troll for the HPD, but I see by you answer, you have had problems with the PD, SO how many times have you been stopped and/or arrested?

Are you admitting they killed the dog to teach the owner a lesson?

Oh I would feel absolutely horrible. On the other hand I would not be trying to get up in the middle of something that was none of my business and subject me and mine to that type of danger. This pet owner lacked total respect for his dog and for himself
He should of just left his dog in a safe place while he provoked the police. He chose to be there. He chose to have his dog in public. He chose not to look out for his dog. He chose to act foolishly with the dogs safety as well as his own. He has to be held accountable for his negligent actions. It was his dog he is responsible!

Why would anybody see this in a racist manner? I see it as control freak cops paranoid of the video camera. Citizens video cops due to the large number of dirty murdering cops that toss in a throw down gun after shooting citizens. Good luck dirty cops.
They don't need any luck in this case. The dog was aggressive and lunged at the officers. Only some of the idiots on here would wait till the dog started mauling them before acting.

WHOM EVER "TRUTH" IS....this person is either a police officer, ex-police officer, or a sick individual! He/She has posted irrational responses, including but not limited to, shooting a dog himself and processes this act as acceptable in his/her small demented mind. Truth is nothing more than a murderer himself/herself, or should I say "itself" because someone with a mind that functions such as "it's", cannot be a human being....DISREGARD this "IDIOTS" posts and I "IT" an idiot because "IT" loves to call everyone else an idiot that has an opinion that's different than "IT'S"....Food for Thought

Absolutely acceptable. Nobody should have to wait till they are mauled by a dog to act. The dog was clearly lunging at the officer and being aggressive. He was completely in his right to defend himself and he will face no disciplinary action.

Someone should explain to them the difference between cute little puppies and an aggressive Rottweiler.

That's right I'm all ready on the case. The officer did suffer before dying and I promise you. The worst is yet to come watch and learn over the next few weeks. Yes you can call me sick and yes I am. Yes you can say I'm nasty, your only being truthful I do promise you this when I get you and I will get you. Times the worst you have done by 3 and there you will find me.

A good mother would not have allowed her children of that age to see the video.

The cop is clearly a bad officer...The officers approached the man and could clearly see that they had two threats...1. The man 2. The mans dog.

The police should had been more aware of their surrondings and the threats in their surroundings. They should had been aware that the dog was in the car with an unsecured window. They should had been aware of the dog barking in an unsecured vehicle.

This cop needs to go work at walmart... before he is found in an alley with bullet holes as a lack of awareness to his surroundings!!!! The cop is a danger to himself.

Yes he was justified in killing the aniamal. However, it is an example of a cop that is going to be found in an alley with a bullet if he doesnt PAY ATTENTION TO HIS SURROUNDINGS!

one officer should had secured the man, one officer should had secured the dog! Lack of unawareness to surroundings! The officer was justified in killing the dog...however, he should receive a discipline action for not being aware of his surroundings!

They did it on purpose they knew the dog would lunge when holding its owner was being held on both sides while the 3rd cop stood behind ready to shoot the dog. This was a tactic. Bastards ever get near my dog ..........

It is written that God compells man to respect the animals which he put on this earth. All of these cops, SWAT team members etc. who shoot mans best friend with disregard will see punishment during their time here on earth. They will be damned.

Even worse then. A good parent would not let there kid stand in a window watching what could become a lethal situation unfold. If my street was full of cop cars and a fugitive - my kids would not be standing in a window watching it all unfold.

The dog was in the car. Probably thought the scene was safe. The owner is the one at fault here.
