Forget about what's legally right or wrong. In that neighborhood the streets are VERY narrow and there are no sidewalks. Instead of someone's yard, that could have been someone's child.

The fact that she left annoys me, the fact that her parents covered for her supremely irritates me. Thank God she didn't hurt anyone.

BTW, expect for unsubtantiated statements from the guy who was in the car (and may just as well have been the one driving) and the mother (Who is not consistent in her statments) there are no independent witesses or physical evidence to determine if Miss Mathers was the driver. There is absolutely no evidence that she had been drinking at the time of the accident.

At first I thought you must be a drinking buddy of Amber's. Because why would anybody go after the Salibas, who are the VICTIMS. But you are certainly not doing the Mathers any favors writing trash like the above.

I don't know the Salibas but from the article I thought they were nicer than my husband and I would have been had it happened to us. I'm sure you find a lot of people you come across do not get along with you. A lot. But if you are not already a friend of Amber's then you should join up with her. TPD just had an officer crash into a house and leave the scene a couple weeks ago then claim his wife was driving. His case is in the hands of the da, and it will not be prosecuted. It was quite a coincidence for this accident to happen. The stories or nearly identical, except the other accident was not in torrance, and an off duty officer was involved. If they took this case seriously, while their own officer was allowed to commit the same crime they would never hear the end of it, so really they had no choice. This driver got very lucky, and should probably take driving and drinking if she still is drinking, more seriously. I doubt she will get very lucky if she chooses to drink and drive again. Clearly she lacks the skill to do either very well.
