Mayor Frank Scotto takes family approach to Torrance job

Until the other day I had met Frank Scotto exactly once. This was maybe 20 years ago when the death-trap I was driving broke down, got towed by one of his trucks and took a dent.

So was the interview in Italian too? There's something wrong here - no other columnist talks about his so-called Italian heritage more than Bogert - yet he has no accent, doesn't live in the immigrant communities, and doesn't own a Fiat or Alfa. A poser?

Did anyone actually believe that the FAA was going to land 500 big jets a day at Torrance airport and that the city council was going to hide in Palm Springs while all this went on? Gullible.

I think Mayor Scotto missed the true family approach when he rushed into his first decision concerning RV's in the city of Torrance. If Torrance and the Mayor where concerned about the family, I can not to this day, understand why the greatest and most popular way to enjoy ones family and the great outdoors is banned from this city. In the long range plans the city will suffer from not allowing the richest and largest generaartion, the boomers, enjoy this city and welcome the millions of dollars into this city. Torrane was at one time a true family city but it hard to believe it now. Thanks Harvey

Your RV parked in front of your home makes our streets less safe, children less safe, and it looks like crap. Either park the RV's on your property or pay for storage. They aren't meant to be permanent additions to our streets.
