Am I missing something? Why not pull over and take your drugs and wait till they "kickin" before driving, that goes for any prescription drug. I must be missing something, did she give herself medicine while driving? or did she not take her meds and have side effects from diabetes?
Yes, you are missing something, a brain and rational thought.

This woman blames everyone but herself. She blames her low blood sugar on an argument she had with her "significant other". It didn't say so in the story but I'm sure she also blames the argument for her high speed driving and unsafe passing(the real cause of this accident!!). She got her money's worth with this lawyer. You can pay an "expert" to say anything. I for one don't become aggressive when my blood sugar is low I just get sleepy, she didn't get sleepy. She was driving like a nut and lost control of her vehicle but now everyone else is to blame and she is just a poor victim, rubbish!

I don't know much about diabetes or the effects the drugs have on someone suffering from it. Not sure how that makes me void of rational thought. I like to get as much information as possible before passing judgement. I beleive the lynch mob mentality is the group lacking rational thought.

Why cant the daily breeze post the same ammount of info? However, diabetics inject themself. Why would she need a doctor? Just alot of unanswered questions, I didnt read anything about an argument with her boyfriend though. No matter the case unless it was malicious then I would be hard pressed to give her more than a year.

Copied and pasted from the story. I don't think the accident had anything to do with her blood sugar just her total disregard for the safety of everyone on the road. I spend a lot of time on the road and this kind of driving is becoming common place.

"Miley blamed her lowered blood sugar on an argument she had with her “significant other.”
“That’s the only thing that I have been able to determine,” she said Monday.
Under questioning by Judge Michael Gibbons, Miley said she had eaten a regular meal and was following a treatment plan ordered by her doctor in California.
“I couldn’t find a doctor locally that specialized in diabetes,” she said.“They were all in Reno.”
The day of the accident Miley said she remembered going to the store.
“Did you feel any different?” he asked.
“If I had, I wouldn’t have been driving,” she said.
She said she couldn’t recall the accident.
“I woke up in the hospital three days later. That’s the soonest I can remember,” she said.
Witnesses said on July 14, 2007, Miley was driving southbound on Highway 395 at a high speed, passing several vehicles before her 2002 Suzuki sport utility vehicle left the roadway surface along the right, overcorrected, and struck the Calevros’ pickup truck in the northbound lane near Leviathan Mine Road."

Given that she plead guilty, I would say that gives the "mob" the correct assumptions that she was at fault. Just a thought.

Would you plead guilty if you knew you wouldnt have jailtime? Those are some serious charges, id do it guilty or not.

I understand your position, but if you didn't do it, would you take responsibility for the deaths of these people if you didn't cause it? Hard to say either way. I would fight it if I knew their deaths were not my fault. Also, what defense attorney would let their client fall if there wasn't a glimmer of hope!

Are you for real? Pull over and take your drugs and wait until they kick in and your are impaired?! If you are taking any prescription drug that impairs your driving it makes no difference if you take the before or during driving. You shouldn't behind the wheel if you are taking drugs that impair your ability to drive. Do us all a favor next time you are on drugs...stay home.
I agree What they failed to mention was that Dawn Miley just had an argument to me it sounds like road rage,Also i find it odd that her blood sugar level at the scene was never brought up!!!Dawn Miley clearly needs to pay for what she did!She needs to serve four LIFE SENTENCES WITH NO CHANCE OF PAROLE!!!website "some guy in Nevada"My Condolences to the Calevro Family and Friends

I can't believe she walked! Also Court documents show Dawn Miley had caused a three- car collision in 2002 in California and injuring six people.Let me guess she blamed it on her blood surgar? She needs to be locked up for LIFE!!!The real question is what was her blood surgar level at the scene ,that was never mentioned? She will burn in Hell!!!
