this is people's personal lives you are ruining. no one wants personal and emotional information written for everyone in the entire world to see. I cant believe you would try and call these people's residence to get your freakin information for the article that is just the most insensitive and rude thing to do after someone's loss. I hope you think twice when you report these articles.

May God grant peace and strength to Riddle's Mother. This is shocking, horrible and tragic. A life cut too short. Only 19.

To ALL the victims families may you find comfort in God.

Prayers go out to the family of the victims.
Maybe the Sheriffs should start looking around and try to prevent a crime once in a while instead of rousting bicycle riders and people doing rolling stops. I see those guys along every cross street going down Pennsylvania, Oak, or Arlington sitting there. I guess gathering revenue is far more important than protecting anyone. A lot easier too.

The medias job is to report the facts. I am sure, based on past experience, the reporter was compassionate or would have been to the family's situation. The family may open up to the press later or not, that is their decision. The reporter will not push but wait patiently until that time. Journalists are NOT paparazzi or the like forcing their way into people's lives.

RIP Tyce & Mr. Aguallo

The article said the shooting happened inside an apartment, how could the Sheriff's Dept prevented this. They didn't say what the dispute was over that led to two people being killed. It probably was over something stupid.

What an ignorant statement. The Sheriffs can not be everywhere. How many crimes have they prevented by being in the areas you spoke of. How many lives have they saved by enforcing traffic laws that keep people from speeding down side streets with deadly consequences if they hit a person. You never know where the crimes will occur and the bad guys usually make sure the sheriff's are not in the area they intend to commit their crimes at. If the Sheriff happens to show up, lets say to watch traffic in any of those areas you mentioned, then the bad guy will usually move on. If they are intent on committing the crime, they will just wait till the sheriff moves to another area. Any sane person with common sense would know that NO ONE CAN BE EVERYWHERE AT ONE TIME.

Unknown You have made an ignorant comment. There has been no mention of drugs and you show no respect for those who have lost their loved one. The young man had to see this happen to his father. No one deserved to be murdered or injured in this terrible tragedy!

Hmmmm.. Riddle and Aguallo are very different surnames. I thought Riddle was Aguallo's son?

I bet it was a drug deal gone bad.

No, Riddle was not his son. The surviving teen is. What does 2 surnames have to do with drugs, anyway. Why do you have to be so crass? Human lives are precious.

How do you know it was drug related? This is not important. The man was shot in front of his son, and his son is severely injured and the families of Aguallo and Riddle are suffering - and you have to make a comment like that! There is a lot of good in Lomita and Torrance and these were good people!

Agreed. It just sickens me that there are folks that are so pathetic they chose to use comment boards to express such idiotic comments. no one else will listen to them so they have to share their misery some how.

Contraire. Some people do deserve to die like this (i.e. drug dealers). You may not be familiar with the area that the shooting took place. That apartment is infested with drug dealers, gang bangers, and crack whores. I guarantee this was related to narcotics. LEAVE NATURAL SELECTION ALONE - IT'S WORKING FINE IN THIS INSTANCE!
