At what point do we stop penalizing state employees for the fact that the idots in Sacramento could not balance a budget. I thinkthye should all have to pay into the fund for every day they did not pass the budget. I don't see them going without their money. There are numerous State employees who have lost their homes as well as other things due to the furloughs and now another decease in pay. At what point does it stop. I am so tired of working my butt off and making less and less. I am a single parent who can not afford another cut.

Maybe you should start your own company. That way you can make as much money as you want. owning your company is easy and with our great President Obama in control of things, you can prosper. Hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

If you're unhappy being a state employee then become a private sector employee.

With that being said the idiots you refer to are the politicians that you vote to put into power, who in turn speak up for the public employees, you. The remainder of the politicians tryn to stand up for the rest of us, but are normally run over by the majority.

There are numerous PRIVATE sector employees who have lost their homes as well as other things due to the LAYOFFS and now another decease in pay.

I am so tired of working my butt off and expected to pay more and more in taxes..

I am a single parent who can not afford another tax increase....

You are a fool, just another loser blaming someone else for your hardship. The unions are a drop in the bucket compared to government waste. The unions are not your problem you want the rest of the working class to be in the same rut as you while your employers reep the profits. You are a loser

reptards = socialism for the rich.

I agree, those who haven't lost everything soon will. The new congressional house will make sure of that.

Reducing the entire state workforce by 20% might begin to help but most think we are probably too far gone at this point for anything to stave off insolvency and complete financial collapse by 2014.

The Onerous Global Warming Bill, AB 32, will add at least 500,000 to the ranks of the unemployed and that will be it for the middle class in our State.

Why do state employees have to any pension at all?

Put them on a 401-K plan like most companies in the private sector.

Don't worry. California will never survive, let alone prosper again, no matter how much better things turn out due to the Midterm changes in Washington.

Of course, why work for other people?
Walter said that too, in 1967.
Then he moved to Torrance,
and employed about a thousand people.
And the "Breeze" kept him out of the News.

You are a fool trying to make excuses for the greedy unions. Is a $500 million pension shortfall a drop in the bucket ???? Where do you think this money should come from ????

The public employee pension ARE the problem, in case you haven't been paying attention.
