Police panel to discuss exit

The Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Commission on Monday will discuss Upper Macungie 's plans to exit the commission in three years to form its own police department.

This is why mergers and consolidation of municipalities is the only option to deliver cost effective public safety. We need to reduce the number of municipalities in PA from nearly 2800 to under 1400.
