Would love to get some information on Kansas. I am relocating from the Atlanta, Ga area. I enjoy hunting, fishing, motorcycles, camping and golf. Good areas of Topeka, areas to stay away from, ect. Any hunting leases around the Topeka area, I hunt Turkey and deer. Motorcycle rallies? I have a 9 year old daughter who comes up to my chin and I am 6'4". She enjoys basketball and softball. My wife is currently employed by the state of Georgia as a school bus driver, would love for her to continue to do that if possible, 17 years of driving a school bus. We also havve a 19 year old daughter who is an artist and currently in a local small college here in our area. She will be moving with us, any colleges in the area? Any information would be GREAT.

Welcome! Kansas (especially Topeka) does get a kind of bad rap due to being the home of the Phelps clan and the WBC - but they are easy enough to ignore. I can't help you much with the hunting or the sports.
The first Sunday of each month, April through November, is the Cassoday bike run for your motorcycling needs. The ride through the Flint Hills from Topeka down to Cassoday, KS is a great one. The monthly rally is usually filled with vendors and some excellent bikes.
If you are a HOG member (not sure what you ride), the State HOG Rally for 2013 is the first weekend in June in Wichita. There is also Thunder on the Prairie (not sure of the date for that yet) and a BBQ and Blues in Paxico (usually in Sept - not quite sure on the date for that either as of yet).
On Wednesdays April through Oct. Jeremiah Bullfrogs Live does a bike night with $1 hot dogs,$2 burgers and specials on the beer. Many of us have continued that through the winter and still get together each Wednesday at Bullfrogs for wings and beer. We all get together for rides on weekends. Sometimes up to Westin, Missouri, sometimes just wherever we feel like going or have heard there is a good coffee shop somewhere - or for no other reason than just to ride.
We also have in Sept two good rides, one is the Kansas Ride for the Red supporting the KS Red Cross, and the other is the Bikers for Babies in Kansas City. The KC Bikers for Babies is the largest B4B ride in the nation. Went on it for the first time last year. It was HUGE. While riding, looking forward or backward, as far as the eye could see, nothing but motorcycles.
