I am very glad that these brothels are closing. The owners are evil for the way they treat thee girls. The keep them in the house with out letting them out and force them to gain in to sick sex acts. Another victory when we can see another Brothel close

I drove by the Shady Lady whorehouse yesterday...the lot was full of big rigs. They seemed to be doing very well.

I was saddened by the fact that Angel's Ladies closed. I'm from Detroit and I'm going to be visiting Nevada next year, along with a few brothels. I'm totally in favor of brothels. At least the ladies are tested for diseases and you don't have to worry about the police. The other option is to pick up a hooker on the street and catch a disease or picked up by the police. I can't speak for other cities, but in Detroit if you get caught with a hooker, the police do take your car and you have to pay several hundred dollars to get it back. So what's the alternative? To have legal prostitution where things are safe, or risk your life by picking up a hooker on a corer?

Where in Nevada are you going? There are two in Wells, and one in Winnemucca that I know of also. I know of them because they advertise on the CB radio. "Friendly conversation with no obligation" LOL

Some of the ones out on Hwy 95 are kinda dumpy if you look at them going by.

What the naysayers fail to understand is, the rural counties have no street walkers and hookers. Legalizing prostitution makes is safe for both the girls and the customers, provides a financial benefit to the counties instead of a tax drain for police stings and undercover (no pun intended) agents, and jail cells, etc. No girl is "forced" into doing what she does. She does it because she wants to do it for her own reasons and can leave at any time she wants to. Under the terms of the state's constitution, the only two counties where it is illegal, are Washoe and Clark, the most populace. Both are bordered by counties supporting numerous brothels and, rather than being picked up in a police sting, getting rolled, or worse, are extremely attractive to locals and visitors alike.

I say, go for it. Any town you're in, ask at the nearest gas station, they'll give you directions!

You see them on Hwy 95 out in the middle of nowhere. I beleive that is Nye County. Over in Wells, also. And in Winnemucca. Is that Washoe County?

I was raised in Hawthorne. The lady who ran the Geenfront was always the first in line to donate food and money to the less fortunate. The brothels are a Nevada icon. I haven't visited one of these establishments, I think it is the one in Winnemucca.

I am not sad that the Angel lady is gone, they were way over priced with some not to good looking ladies, I have always enjoyed Shady Lady, down to earth pricing, decent looking ladies and always a great time.

I went to this brothel and the ladies weren't very hot. Two of them were close to 50.

You can get pretty women at the services in Vegas but they are much more expensive.

The big problem in this world is the do gooders. In the fifties when Brothels were everwhere we didn't have serial killer preying on street walkers. Pray for more Brothels.

I can assure you that at Angel's Ladies Brothel, the women were not mistreated. My new wife was employed there a few years ago and we discussed everything about her time there prior to
getting married. It is an interesting story, but doesn't include anything about mistreatment of the femal
employees.
Hey, if you're going to get married, I say find yourself a professional!

I had a great experience there at angels ladies and it had nothing to do with sex. I have never been with a prostitute but did take a friend there once. Several ladies were very friendly and took me sight seeing around the area. We saw the wreckage of some crashed planes and just hung out and talked. It was a great afternoon and no sex was involved. Sad to hear it closed. I remember their slogan was something like "A penny for your thoughts or a hundred bucks to act it out."

In response to what Mother Love wrote, I'd have to say nothing could be further from the truth. I had worked at several of the houses about 10 years ago. There was not a single time that I or any of the other women that I worked with were ever mistreated or forced into any sexual acts. It was and still remains to be a safe, consensual way for two adults to have sex. This isn't Thailand and these aren't shady outfits run by evildoers. Most of us paid taxes and considered this a career...(like me most get out while they are still young and have made some money.)

What I'm saying is, you really shouldn't make assumptions. In this case, you are dead wrong.

You are kidding, right? I have always gotten more bang for the buck at Angel's Ladies. The Shady Lady ranch is a specialist in misadvertising.

Shady Lady does misadvertise I agree. Many on their website don't even work there and when you call, they give you 4 names and when you show up a couple hours later, only one is there. They also have the same 2-3 girls all the time. They trap you into driving out and then don't deliver what they promise. Also they raised their prices when Angels closed, they used to have a 100 session and now its 200. They do have good deals if you want to stay a while and check the internet for their special. Most of the women they have are all older, but nice if you like that sort of thing,
