The typical response by this country to anything, and anyone, who gets "in the way" is to kill it. And then we wonder what causes the "gang mentality" so rampant among our young people. They learn from the government to be heartless is to be strong.

A typical reponse by YOU is to blame this country for every problem it has!

Your answer to this would be what? Let the horses starve to death or take over our world!

It's people like YOU that pollute this country with "save the trees" mentality instead of do what is best and humane for the people!

Forget the spotted owl and live your life!

wow okay, first of all your a complete idiot, and obviously have no idea what your talking about.
take over the world? dont you think thats a little over dramatic? the horses were here first, we and no reason to bring them into captivity except for the greed of farmers and cattle ranchers who wanted more land. they dont even need to exterminate the 600 proposed, the BLM could leave well enough alone, but they wont because of pressure from cattle ranchers who claim the have to compete with the horses for food. in the next thirty years, if there are no viable herds allowed to procreate, the wild horse will become extinct. thats a proven fact, a peice of our history and an entire species of horse will BE GONE. so just let that sink in and then tell me it doesnt matter.
humane for people?? is it HUMANE to slaughter an animal in a slaughter house? have you even seen the videos, no i doubt it, take a look at it, it is defiantly an eye opener. by using the word "eliminate" the horses, the BLM kindly protects the rest of america from the truth, they will have cattle electric shockers used on them, killed by lethal injection, and shot in the head.

A country is made up of its citizenry. Thus the problems can be blamed upon the same. I don't want to see a horse or any other creature, even human, starve to death, however, I don't lose to much sleep in the fear that the horse is going to take over our world. As YOU put it. I don't think WE can pollute the country by saving a tree, I take the spotted owl as symbolic of nature in general and I wouldn't say something like "forget pure water" (or clean air), and live your life. How does one live their life without cleanliness?

BLM,s address and web site should be posted and just how the round up but staughter the wonderful unbelieveable creatures. may they're enjoy their dinner much more. And just maybe they'd prefer to keep it under wraps as in the past.

"Cattlemen", and the BLM, and the BIA, and the DNR, as well as the Dep't of the Interior, to name but a few, should all be taken out into the desert and horse whipped. Or be required to attend K-12 all over again. www.AbolishSportHunting.com . I've nothing a against hunting. But these leg hold traps have to go. Surely, humanity has evolved since Biblical times!!! And knowledge of ecology. Roger Caras was against wolf reintroduction to Yellowstone, now I know why. And agree. People just can't accept nature. And reality.
