The University of Nevada School of Medicine has partnered with the Area Health Education Center of Southern Nevada to locate individuals who either worked at the NTS or in a "downwind" community. We have information about a Federal program that extends the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) to individuals who live in an eleigible area. Survivor benefits may also be available.
$75,000 NTS onsite workers
$50,000 downwind indviduals
To be eligible you must have lived in the counties of Nye, Lincoln, Lander, Eureka, White Pine, or an eligible portion of Clark during the years of atmosheric nuculer testing at the NTS. 1951-1962.
We will be in Tonapah at the Tonopah Senior Center on Wednesday, April 12, from 12:30 to 1:30. We will have more information and be able to answer your questions regarding the benefits.
