Can you shut up?! We don't care about your opinion! We will stick up for what we think is the truth and the plain facts! Have you ever thought that maybe the one that actually broke down the door should've been shot? I DO! So sit on it and rotate then maybe you will learn to mind your own business when you dont even live near where this happened!
Sugarpie, as you may have noticed, it's YOUR opinion no one cares about on this forum... 99% of us would have rather seen them both get shot, preferably in a non-recoverable spot on their youthful bodies. I suggest you go and sit with your wounded... Maybe you can tell him that what he did was WRONG, and that he's LUCKY it wasn't a home that belonged to 3/4 of this forum.

I feel badly that the young guy has gone down a path that would lead him to cave into peer pressure, and it's always unfortunate when someone is shot. However, he made his choice, and now he is suffering the consequences. Hopefully this experience, and his family, will teach him to make better choices in the future.

I hate to say it,because the little SOB's deserved to get shot, but I don't think the homeowner is going to get away with this. I think it sucks, but you can't go outside and shoot someone in the back. If they were actually in his house, it would be a different story. But you can't shoot an unarmed person outside your house, this is not self defense.
Actually you are wrong. It wasn't but a couple of years ago that the State of Alabama changed the law to make it where the home owner has the right to use whatever force they deem necessary to protect their property inside the home or outside it.

Okay.. Look. They did not have a gun or knife. I am close friends with both of them! Their family does not appreciate the comments saying that they better be glad they didnt both get their butts shot off! OKAY! The teen that got shot was under a great amount of stress and peer pressure! SO GIVE HIM A BREAK! He is paying for his mistakes! He doesnt need ppl talking about them too. Now if you know the whole story (which I do) then you can talk about them! But as far as the homeowner goes.. He shouldnt get away with shooting a teenager! Even if he was breaking into a house!
The homeowner was well within his rights to shoot reguardless of the age. Stress and peer pressure are no excuse and yes they both are very lucky not to have gotten their butts shot off. No he is not paying for his mistake yet he will start doing that once he gets in jail with a guy named Bubby..lol

okay, For the kid that got shot thats bad but the matter of this is, his environment he may have a disadvantagement , it was stated by Harley that he was under stress and peer pressure, why didn't this kid go to Harley for help if the parents are apathetic who may or may not refused to help this kid out, teaching him not to get with the wrong crowd, plenty of blame to go around.

There are kids out here that act as if they have absolutely no parental guidance what so ever. Burglaries have been on the rise for a while now in the Toney community. Nine times out of ten.... it has been juveniles. My kids tell me everyday about some idiot putting their hands on them on the bus, at school and their actions are repetitive. Do they have parents who really care? My child has been taught not to be a bully or even be bullied and I feel the same way about my home. Parents if you want to raise a thug child in the community then step up and own it when the little punk gets his/hers! I am sick of the parents whining and crying about injustice when they are the root of the problem. Black,White, purple or green.... I stand by my opinion!

Well after reading the article it would seem as if they don't attend either. I could care less as to what school they attended just as long as they attended one of them in hopes to get an education because one can only feel as if this child needs some sort of educating after going into an occupied home!

Okay first of all... Dont be saying go back to your trailer park where your stuff is worthless! That is the last comment you need to make! Cause see me personally I don't live in a trailer and my stuff is worth something! Grow up and get a life! If you wanna talk trash dont say that! That is a mistake! Oh and for your information we protect our homes and i bet more than you do! See that neighborhood is always vandalized! The people that live there know that too! If they are gonna complain then get out of the neighborhood! Problem solved! SO JUST SHUT UP AND GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR A**!!!
The problem was solved when he shot the little thug.I wish his aim was a little better, and he got the other one two.Was you the one putting pressure on these two thives.

I'm a firm believer in the old saying-- "That 2 to the chest and 1 to the head will eliminate repeat performances by thugs preying on good people". I live far enough from town that the police need about 8-10 minutes for a response time. So in reality defending my home is up to me. Once you leave the county road approaching my property, you have entered 'my zone' and you are in an area that has been recoitered, yardage markers placed, and every inch is well within my range and ability to defend. I practise all the time, learned that from my years with Uncle Sam. So if you choose to come on my property-I choose how you leave. Alabama defend yourselves its your absolute right to do so. Teach Peace and God Bless America.
Ya, I'll bet folks are climbing over each other to come onto your property and steal the junk cars and rusty washing machines out of the snake infested weeds.
