The engine of the future will have a frame, not a block. A frame is part of an electric motor. People will use these instead of blocks when gas no longer exists or costs $35 a gallon. I'm glad to see the auto industry investing in outdated technology because I have some extra cash to bail them out the next time their stupid business decisions put them into bankruptcy.

Just want to ask , Did you ever hear of the Hydrogen eng?
The Hydrogen eng. uses a block the same as a gas eng. and when it is burned the only By-product is water vapor, that can then be taken and split back down into Oxygen and Hydrogen.
They have this type of eng. running now but don't have Hydrogen type gas stations set up on a wide scale.
This would be the way to go seeing 2/3s of the world is water and you can break down water into Oxygen and Hydrogen.
Burn the Hydrogen [ Burning is rapid oxidation] it turns into water vapor and the cycle starts over again
Just asking, Have a nice day

I am familiar with the concept and believe that if hydrogen fuel was all that we've heard then it would be in use a lot more than it is. I think electric/clean diesel hybrid could easily yield 100+ mpg because we had gas hybrid engines doing 65+ in the early 70's.

Yes I agree, but I think hydrogen will be the way to go seeing oil is a limited commodity, Where water covers 2/3s of the earth, and you can make Hydrogen from water by putting Electric through it and you can recover the electric and use that too.
Then when you burn it in your car you get water vapor and that turns into rain and the cycle begins again.
It is something they should be doing more to get going, But as long as the Big oil co.s have big money they will do everything they can to stop it.
Have a nice day

People didn't want to drive around with a bomb in their car.

Government Motors woes us 26 billion dollars it can never pay back. The stock is cut in half since it went bankrupt and came out paid for by us.

Every subsidizes Chevy Volt made loses $49,000.

Italy's FIAT owns Chrysler and owes us a billion dollars.

Thank your UAW for the mess.

Union gave Red Ed Shultz of MSNBC $200,000. For doing what?

Lets not forget Ford now, remember 08 when they did not think their new junk f-150 was going to fly, Found on river dead took their hand out as well. Keep thinking that way douchebag, Romney will do the same thing he did to Delphi, Raid it, crush the union, and put the profits in a offshore account in his wifes name to avoid paying taxes on it. Proud to be local 774!
