He wants to take assualt rifles and seriously unless you live in a place like Mexico, or a country where you don't have the freedoms you have here, you do not need the assualt rifles. If you feel threatened I'm sure there are thousands of other guns that would do the same damage if you were trying to protect yourself in your own house, if someone broke in for example. Guns will never be taken away from American Citizens because of the right to bear arms, and since Kentucky is attempting to seceed, if that happens for us Kentucky will have the right to make that decision for themself. Quit worrying about guns right now, and pray for your children who these sick people with guns are targeting.

The School shootings broke my hart as much as it did anyone. I prayed for them and cried for there loved ones. Those people didn’t deserve to die like that. I feel bad and love those people with all my hart. That being said!
Why wasn’t there a guard with a metal detector at the entrance door like we have at Tville schools? Why didn’t the mother have her gun trigger locks on like I have mine?
It isn’t the guns that were at fault here, it was the mother that didn’t have her son getting the help that he needed. It was the mother not being responsible with the care of putting her guns in a lock box. School personal didn’t do there jobs to keep the students safe.
Remember last week when a teen shot himself in the head in the back of a police car after he was searched by a veteran police officer? They can’t enforce the gun laws that we have know. This kind of shootings are the proof that.
The Democrats Have always wanted to take our guns. Look what Bill Clinton did .sewing the gun makers like he did. If the President would look at the real problems of safety and stop trying to take our rights away, he wouldn’t have to make new gun laws.
Obama don’t wont to make America a safer place, he wants to totally dominate the U.S.A. for his one government world. That’s what the school shootings mean to Obama and the Clintons.Seriously.

Did anyone notice the last shooting was handguns only. He left his assult rifle in the car....??? So NO ASSULT RIFLE WAS USED .

It's not everyone tht goes shooting. Just a few with a few loose screws..

If we let Obama take assault rifles you can bet he will be back to take hand guns and before we know it will be just as it is in England. There they lost every gun they had.
Give Obama and the Democrats an inch and they will take several miles.

If a innocent person is shot go after the OPERATOR..NOT THE GUN.
IF a innocent person is stabbed..Go after the operator..NOT THE KNIFE.
IF a arsonist burns a house, car or building down..Go after the operator..NOT THE LIGHTER

Its easy to not own a gun when you have a secret service detail protecting your family. Send them home see how long it takes him to pick up a gun.

Hmmmm im speechless you people are a culture of you're own. I don't spouse it will matter what I say or what educated person speaks to you, you will just keep believing this. I can remember after 8 good years of Clinton everyone said Al Gore if elected would take our guns. Do you all realize the issues of the world at the moment. There is war in the middle east an I could go on for days. The last thing the officials in Washington are concerned about is driving to Tompkinsville Ky, do get some rednecks deer rifle. You people are the reason that there are no good jobs here. When a large industry looks to locate in a rural area and employ people, they have to take into consideration education. Among the jobs there will be the need for people who obtain high levels of education for management. And skills such as engineering. But not here people here stack wood and make pallets. Hmmmmmm I suggest reading that helps or history channel for those who enjoy being read too.

I don't spouse a Speak n Spell would matter as a last minute gift for an educated person? Officials in Washington always have time to visit small town USA.Not just "do get some redneck's deer rifle" I can remember Kent State it was called current events back in the day.

I must agree about the good times with the Clintons, Ruby Ridge,Waco and Monica.By the way Mr.Hitler & Joe Stalin had a "culture" of backwoods gun owners that left them speechless as well, after they were disarmed meny speeches were made.

I'm just a transplant here but if you want to call me a gun loving redneck I will consider that a compliment.Glad you have elevated yourself above a wood stacker, would rather stand side by side in a lumberyard with these people you make fun of than to have my back to you in some college shower room.

Thank you "Gun Rights" and same to you and family.Perhaps if (nobody) would have recieved that "Red Rider bb gun" for Christmas all those years ago and had some adult supervision to go with it then maybe (nobody) would understand the basic freedoms and rights that we are in danger of losing. If you choose to watch the history channel as he suggested you will discover the "Gunless or outgunned" turn out to be the speechless ones.
Thank for the kind words, Scott.

Well Ole Beowulf you must have been thinking about being in the shower with me, when you typed that last post. Cause you spell like I do we all have our opinions and we all are going to be in favor for what we like. The fact is whatever the goverment wants it gets. If they decide to take our guns they will and theres not a thing you can do. Gun laws are looser now than they have ever been, an that could have something to do with it or maybe not theres an argument either way. During the previous gun ban from 94 to 04 we had columbine, and so on. But im sure you no. Out of the respect of Waco, Ruby Ridge im not going to comment. Waco was 38 days after Clinton took office. However there were officers that lost thier lives thats not someting to joke about. However in both incidents the goverment won.

Thank you for the reply, those officer's deaths were not a joke, the comment of an uneducated gun culture ran all over me, as it was meant to be. however my response with a juvenile shower remark was disrespectful to the fine folks reading this post,

Yes I own firearms, no i do not carry one on my person because where i work is a "weapon free facility" very much like the one in Newtown Ct.Are we safer for that rule or sitting ducks? i can't honestly answer that question. posting opinions and ideas on the internet in some countries have been viewed as dangerous as being well armed.

Bottom line, firearm owners and firearm victim families are "pissed off" and rightfuly so.what concerns responsible firearm owners is every time a ban goes into place for just good common sense or a knee jerk reaction is far the powers that be can or are willing to go before stopping.

Do enjoy being free to banter with you on this site, making fun of each other's spelling without getting hauled in for questioning (that day may come)The subject of this post was about "going after our guns",You are correct the government gets what it wants (what happened?)You and I seem to be on the same page on some things as well as being smarter that I gave you credit for.Perhaps if we all could find something to agree on with this subject and not fall for the old "divide and conquer strategy" then we might not end up a "tool" for some politician of either party.

Well I supose you could be right Scott. And no I don't know it all but when it comes to politics , history or our civil rights I try to do my homework. Im also an avid gun owner an given the information that has been explained to me from someone who counts, the ole 94-04 gun ban is around the corner. The only weapons that are in question are the so called "assault" weapons. The ones specifically designed to target human life. Now I own alot of guns and I can honestly say that this ban won't effect me. And even though some would disagree im not completely against the ban. It has to stop somewhere like fully auto weapons, there are somethings society shouldn't have access to. The one thing I wouldn't recommend doing is purchasing a bunch of the guns to stock pile them and I'll save that topic for the next discussion.
