Got a tip for ya. Dont ask on a public forum who cheats the US government out of dollars and sells liquid who makes folks drunk in the meantime.

You may not get an answer on that.

Show me the krs where it is legal to distill any amount of spirits. Beer wine homebrew or any of it is legal as long as it is not distilled, but when you distil any amount of spirits you better have a federal tax stamp to do it legal.

you might want to study the law a little deeper before you respond. you can tell you r a cop, which i have nothing against until you try to push laws that you wish were in place. I have done been there & done that and it was good. Before you respond always remember there a loop hold on every law written.

So you have nothing against law enforcement until they enforce the law? Also are you trying to say that the law will make up things to charge you with? Because you did say that they will push laws they they wish were legit.

So basically you have said that it is legal to have a moon shine still and no law whether local or federal can do anything about it, and you are willing to teach someone how. And the law will corruptly charge you with a charge that isnt legit for having said still?

I am beginning to think you are brewing crazy shine. Because you are asking for it, Jesse Duke.

Believe me I understand loop holes. It is obvious you are gonna make shine (help). Do me a favor and pour off the first 50 ml. Its methanol and will kill you or who ever drinks it, and keep the cook temp at 143 degrees to keep from killing anyone. Wish I could talk you out of making it, but that don't look possible. Beware of who is watching. It may be me. By the way I am NOT a cop.

Why don't you try
a little wine making
Lots of chemistry
variables involved.
Lots of fun to do.
And as long as you
keep the amount @
200 gallons. It's
legal in ky.
YES!! 200 hundred
Gallons per family
name. Per year.
But, you can't sell.
And you are responsible
for who consumes it.

Lots of dedicated internet sites
on wine making.
I suggest cutting a formula to
5 gal. try it a few times.
Get your recipe worked out good.
Then you came kick you off a
batch. At about 15% alcohol by
volume.
If you looking at getting a
buzz.That will do it.
P.S. don't try driving afterwards.

15% is a very good percentage. I doubt a rookie can get this, but repeated tries may make it. 15% equals 30 proof. Not many wines are 30 proof that is why distilling to brandy is so popular. Distilation with pot or refractory still produces percentages in the range of 50% with pot stills up to 75% with refractory stills. That is why it is so tempting to distill. The augument against distilling is loss of taste and legality. Hopefully this is enough.

It is true 15% is rare.
I have achieved this only
twice. Did this under controlled
temperature and relative humidity
conditions. VERY HARD TO DO.
(fish tank heaters)
(water vat)Insert ferment vessel
in vat.

My high alcohol wines.
Will unravel the lace
in your drawers. especially
after a little age(2 yr).
But, i'm more into refining
flavors and body.
I'm just not going to
chance the distillation
thingy. Stakes to high
for me. Although the
thought of peach brandy
would be utterly devine .
