I hope people get reimbursed for their damages. What about the Farmers that lost all their cattle? I think it is just terrible, That house insurance does not cover flood damage. Maybe the president should help his own country instead of other countries.

While we are dealing with horrific flooding of our own here (Waukesha, Wi), my thoughts and prayers are also with everyone in Vernon, Richland and surrounding counties. Generations of my family roots are in the Kickapoo Valley and I hope to retire there someday myself. All my thoughts and prayers and...HUGS HUGS HUGS!

I felt just horrible when I read the news about
the flooding in Vernon County. I think that this
is one of the prettiest places... and i want so
much to live in this area. I hope that you get the
aid that you need to begin again... and don't quit! I hope that the government responds more quickly
and efficiently than during Katrina! May you be blessed with the perseverance to keep going ....

We are sorry to hear that you even this year again are hit by flooding. We have been visiting
Westby and WI several times and always met nice, good people that give us such a nice hospitality. We hope you all will assist those who are hit this
time too. Whenever some in Wisconsin suffer from disasters even the news in Norway reports it. When some friends are hit it hits us too. How we all treat those in need for help is a good sign for how we are as people. We wish you all the best during the rebuilding. Good bless you all.
Best regards the Wiig, family, Haakon, Unni, Maria and Knut from Brumunddal Norway

My husband and I have a little land and a "cabin" on Lower Maple Dale Rd and can't seem to get any accurate information on what is happening to Maple Dale creek or the land out that way. We had planned to let our son have a party with twelve or so friends out there this past weekend, but are so glad we decided otherwise early in the game. After last year's flood, we are just holding our breath. Does anybody know whether the earthen Primmer dam on Maple Dale held? Our thoughts are with our neighbors out there and, of course, the poor farmers. Any news would be welcome. Thanks
