John Dauer and the University of Toledo Police engage in wrong-doing with their unlawful and irresponsible use of the Trespass Act. The University of Toledo Police are part of a disgraceful University of Toledo Administration. This is a bad bureaucracy with a long history of committing crimes against students. One of their most horrendous acts was when an on-duty police officer kidnapped, undressed, and brutally murdered Melissa Herstrum, a nursing student on campus.

The University of Toledo states the campus is "private property" and that anyone can be arrested for being a suspicious person. Individuals are subjected to a full custodial arrest and search, taken to the Toledo jail, and charged with criminal trespassing. If they drive to campus their car will be impounded. Police are frequently abusive during these arrests, using unnecessary physical force, and taunting those they arrest with insults. Many people who have experienced this have done nothing wrong.

David Williamson - You are correct. I represented a law abiding citizen who now has a criminal record because a police-cadet-student started an argument with him and called the police on him even though he did nothing wrong. His crime, Criminal Trespassing, an unlawful charge because UT is public property and the individual worked on campus.

The cops have to put up with smart-a** kids all day and into the drunken night. They have my utmost respect and have always been polite to me. Maybe the trespasser will keep his mouth shut from now on. Lesson learned?

Your "drunken night" comment refers to the UT police using drugs right? Remember, one UT cop was convicted of selling crack cocaine. Keeping quiet is what led to Melissa Herstrum's murder.
