So, he comes to Belleville to practice? He won't be touching me or anyone I care about.

Wow, thanks for the heads up.
Also, according to the article, part of the lady's problems stemmed from the fact that she fell during a time when she was to be helped to walk by two members of the nursing staff, but only one person helped her.
Sounds like hospital understaffing is a widespread problem...I recall that understaffing at a Belleville hospital was mentioned in another thread here.

Since my story was made public, less than 1 week ago, I have recieved calls from 2 indiviuals that were hurt my Dr. Yazdi, both surgery's were preformed at Toledo Hospital.
If any one has been hurt by this man please contact me, as I would like to start a support group. I sure felt better to know that people care about me and my family.
It has been a terrible year. My husband and I had one of those relationships that everyone envied, know we are just going through the motions. We lost what we had and I want my husband back along.

I was stunned when I found out that he was practicing anywhere. What I have found out since I have been able to kind-of think, is that doctors can jump from state to state with no ramifications. They just pack up and move.

People would be astonished at what "REALLY" goes on in hospitals. Many, many, many mistakes are covered up. It happens on a daily basis. Not only by docs, but, nursing also. But, let me also say this. There are really great medical professionals and then there are bad ones. It's the same as with any profession. The general public needs to do some research before employing a doctor or going to a hospital for a procedure. This is the best defense against being injured while in the care of another's hands. The more informed a patient is, the better the outcome.

My husband and I did research Dr. Joseph Yazdi. We couldn't find anything on this person (I can't even call him a doctor anymore) nothing bad nothing good. We took it in good faith that "The Toledo Clinic" which is where my insurance company told me to go, would not employ a doctor that had any cases against him. I'm attemping to set up a support group for people that have been injured by doctors with a history of hurting people.
I'm also trying to get on the "OPRAH" Show a woman like Oprah with her power would really get the word out.
Joseph Yazdi is a bad man and needs to be stopped before he hurts someone else.
My spinal cord will never heal, I'm 37 and have to wear depends underwear because I can't control my bladder. Due to the numbness, being with my husband will never be the same. I take Viagra to help with blood flow when those special moments happen between my husband and I, but is doesn't work.
I can go on for quite a while about the symptoms but I won't.
If you know of a way to research Doctors please let me know. I would like to see what I should have seen over a year ago.
Thanks, Tricia

Well, I had a fusion surgery in 2003 from him and he was recommended as "the guy". The truth is I have ALWAYS had pain since and figured it was just the way it is. Now I am wondering a bit more about why the scar is so much bigger than the doctors I have seens since think it should be. I want to talk to you and get more info. Matthew R. ps: I also am in no better shape pain-wise than I was before I had the surgery. mattr@graf-it.net

Matthew R. ps: I also am in no better shape pain-wise than I was before I had the surgery. mattr@graf-it.net Those are "red flags." Get an opinion from another surgeon. They won't tattle on each other. But, if you still have a problem and it needs fixing, then, that's the only proof you need that something wasn't done right. Again, let me stress this. There are very good docs out there. And then, there are bad docs out there. It's a matter of finding the right one. The public puts their lives in these people's hands everyday. And, there is "really" no way of telling if you are going to employ a good doc or not. That information is very limited in doing research for finding a good doc. This needs to be changed. I believe that State Board of Professional Regulation has information on docs about weather they have been diciplined or not. You should try this site and anyone else interested. It's not much, but, may help when making an educated decision when choosing a good doctor.

I meant to say " The Illinois State Board of Professiona Regulation." Other states may have the same info on their licensed professionals.
