Instead of sending the National Guard to Iraq and Afghanistan we should have them taking turns patrolling the fence along the Mexican border. Maybe we should think of an appropriate punishment besides sending them back where they came from which would make them think twice about running across the border. There is no other country in the world that would put up with this nonsense.

If you're not going to do anything about them for being illegal while you're putting a friggin chip in thier azz, what difference does it make if you know where they go or you don't.

Does it help anyone to know what location they are being illegal at if you're not going to do anything about it.

AS SOMEONE FROM IOWA I DISAGREE WITH THIS COMMENT. not all of us think this way, i would love to see a fix to our immigration problem, but being hateful towards illegal immigrants is no solution.

alot of the reasons that people come to this country is to make a better life for themselves and more importantly their families. from firsthand experience i have seen the poverty in Mexico. its heart breaking

I don't think this candidate really thought a great deal about what he was saying before he said it. This would be 1984 magnified by about 100 times. I don't think forced micro-chipping (is that a real verb?) would be accepted for anybody, including federal prisoners at Leavenworth or ADMAX in Florence, Colorado.

I agree. Bertroche is not the brightest bulb for making those comments in public. But, his biggest mistake was not explaining the definition of "facetious".

Wow! I think people need to come here legally, but this is just outrageous. Any one who cares remotely about civil liberties should be appalled at this, because the following steps towards chipping citizens aren't that far from this.
Dead on. And the national ID card some are trumpeting is
on that slippery slope.
The difference is only in degrees..........

I knew this was coming from the right, they want everyone to have the Chip!using the illegals is just the way to get public support to chip everyone
including the average white citizen, that barcode will show everything about you!especially how much money you have and your finances will dictate your worth and your citizenship.paper and plastic can be doctored but the chip has a patent.

metronics have had the identity chip in R&D for years, and they are now ready to inject you too teabaggers and they will deport you without due justice.
Play with fire and you will get burnt, and I really don't mine seeing their hate backfire on them.

good looks, youth and money will be the primary factor.race and color is just red meat for them very same haters.

Implant each one caught with a chip and deport them, if they ever become legal, remove the chip. Kind of like branding the slaves of the owners in case they ever ran off. Yep brand em like cattle - microchip em like dogs. GOP your idea of the year we guess! And this guy wants to run for congress? Good luck GOP!
No a good idea, if I do say so my self. However, it is no worse than the liberal idea of keeping the borders open to anyone that wishes to cross.

Not sure what you mean by liberals wanting to keep the borders open? Wasn't it Bush Jr. that tried to pass legislation granting amnesty to all of the Mexicans already here, which in turn caused thousands more to come! You need to get your facts straight.

I don't recall Bush ever wanting to grant amnesty. It wouldn't surprise me though (Bush was no conservative).

However, it is the current liberal leadership that is bashing the current Arizona law, claiming that it targets Hispanics, even though the law says no such thing. It is liberal idiots such as the mayor of San Fran. that are calling for boycott's of Arizona. I do believe I have my story straight.

More Americans are killed each year by Mexicans than by Iowans and dogs combined.

Your recollection is accurate. He did try that.
