Lifestyle changes, i.e. diet and moderate exercise, can prevent or delay the development of Type 2 diabetes by up to 58% for individuals with prediabetes. This includes modest weight loss and regular exercise, 30 minutes a day at least 5 days a week. Many local pharmacies have helpful advice on exercise and diet for diabetics.
