Steve Frank is an unreliable and heartless news reporter in the high country. I have worked around Steve Frank several times when he is reporting news on emergency scenes in the high country and not only does he show no respect for patients or their families, he also reports false news. On one occasion Mr. Frank was asked to leave the scene of an emergency by law enforcement officers and Mr. Frank proceeded to walk away from the scene taking pictures over his shoulder.. How Rude! Another time a man was being airlifted from a scene and all news reporters were asked to stay behind a certain car. Mr. Frank snuck through the woods to get a picture of the patient in the ambulance. When the DOT worker was killed on old 421 in Deep Gap, Mr. Frank had the story online just 15 mins after the call happened, giving no time for the family to be notified. Some family and friends found out about their loved ones death from a news website. How would you feel if any of these calls were your family? Mr. Frank has also given false information on his stories multiple times. When the ASU student drowned he reported water rescue teams were deployed, which never happened. He also reported two houses burned the other night off rainbow trail. Also not true. He needs to be fired and find a new job he has no respect for patients, and who wants false news? What a joke Mr. Frank is!

Is this the guy that supposedly took a photo of the young man's body that passed away in the creek on campus while it was still in the creek or something? I heard something about that.

At any rate, Blah Blah 51, have you said any of this to Mr. Frank's face or directly to him? Just wondering what his responses were.

I have noticed that he gets stories up on the site pretty quickly, but never really thought much of it. He usually reports hours, if not a day or so, before others. But, he is just doing his job, and doing it very well. I did notice that they held back the Rainbow Trail victim's name a couple days ago.

Most journalists at least know proper grammar...every day there are errors in his writing...maybe he is just in a hurry?

How many times have these fools helped me? Zero. How many times have these fools run me off the road? 6. How many lives were cut short because of a couple of these fools decided to race while raining? 3. More harm than good should be their motto.

Hey Bob, just because a few of them are wild and out does not make all firefighters "rednecks" as you call them! I am a firefighter and I do not appreciate the way you talk about them. There will come a day when you need help from emergency services and hopefully they will remember what an ass you are and what you have said about them!

Keep running people off the road. I hope that 8 bucks per call or whatever you get is worth killing innocent people.

Its lose, lose with Bob cause he has to have the last word. If Bob wasent such a coward he could tell us dumb ass redneck fools his reel name that way we could just roll over in bed when tones go off for his house. In last but not least the money has nothing to do wth it. Oh yea Bob you can you enlighten me of the last time a firefighter cost a life while responding to a call?

Steve Frank took video footage of a fatality wreck in deep gap that was posted on goblueridge.net within 30 minutes of the initial dispatch. This was before the family was even notified. There were letters sent to his superiors but nothing was done. I understand that news reporting is essential to the public but that was inappropriate. As for you Bob you are incompetent and ridiculous. I am a firefighter/emt and I am proud to serve my community. Not all people that live here are rednecks. I would like to see you go in a burning structure, cut someone out of a car, or perform CPR on a non breathing person and talk to them a few days later. Emergency personnel goes far beyond a rural fire department. I hope you realize someday the impact that a firefighter or medically trained responder can have on someone and their family.

If you want to play hero, enlist in the military. Oh wait, you probably couldn't pass the physical. That's right. The volunteer fire departments are where all of the wannabes end up. Go perform cord while being shot at. Go drag your best friends body out of a burning vehicle. Not everybody who isn't a member of the good ole boys club is a useless civilian. Uneducated rednecks. The motto of the volunteer fire department.

So Bob you call the Voluteer Fire Deparments wannabes and fools? What about the Firemen and Medics that are PAID, are they fools? Because a majority of them are part of their Volunteer Departments. So are they only considered Hero's when they are doing their job and being paid, and a fool when they respond to call when they are off and are Voluntarily doing this. You don't think they have drug bodys out of burning vehicles or homes? Wrong they have! Who is supposed to go to a fire or a wreck when you are out of an area that doesn't have paid Firemen? Just curious, what do you do for a living Bob? What have you done to help your community?

Listen here Ricky Bobby. I am always run off the road by these fools who think it's ok to drive recklessly for no reason. I have never been run off the road by a Boone Fire truck. So, suck it.

I think the caution lights and red lights they run are indecation to move out of the way, so if you get ran off the road thats your fault. You might can check in the North Carolina DMV handbook I think it is the law to yeld to Emergency Personnel!!

Please point to the statute that says you gave to yeild to personal vehicles with red lights. And I would never yeild to a reckless driver, lights or not.

Oh, "you might can check" is not proper grammar. Another dumb redneck here! Go speak Walmart somewhere else.
