I have my reasons for not divulging names, not the least of which is caution. You seem like a VERY smart person, I'd like to talk to you.(I notice some other people posting here are very smart too.)
I re-posted my craigslist ad warning people to watch the Jamison's
news story before they follow anyone to an undisclosed location in the mountains of E Oklaoma to look at land.(Dallas Craigslist "Why didn't we hear about this")
http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/rnr/16334634...
Thank you, were you suppose to take any cash with you when you went to look at the property?

Does anyone know what happened to the cash that was found in the Jamison's truck? Does the sheriff keep it for a certain amount of time?
Thank You

That is a no. We sent $200 to reserve the land till we could look at it. Sent it to another state and got it back when we pulled out. As I said the company that owns all the land up there may have nothing to do with it but individuals who have bought land from the company sell too and that could be a circumstance where someone might bring cash.(I know individuals sell land up there too because the guy who responded to my warning ad was looking at buying from an individual not the company trying to sell to us)isn't it interesting though that even though it was a different seller they said the same thing about being led instead of given directions? I guess a rep of the company could pose as an individual, who knows. That's what I mean, I make no accusations because who knows? Right? the scary thing is noone knows what the hell happened to them so I don't know if anyone I have dealt with or spoken to or sent an envelope with a money order and a return address is involved in any wrong doing (connected to the case or otherwise) so I'm being careful not to assume or accuse.
There are more little twists and inconsistencies but like I said I have my reasons for not wanting to divulge everything I have learned on a public message board.
Also, the Jamison's had lots more money than we do, they were looking at a bigger piece of property (40 acres according to the news) we were looking at 6 acres up the creek from the area they disappeared. Super cheap (I now see why) land payments under $200 a month. That's another reason I thought it too good to be true.
You can contact me through my craigslist warning ad if you'd like to know any more, and there is more. I wouldn't feel comfortable posting an email address here due to some hostility I have noticed on this message board.
Thank You

I think the whole area down there is corrupt, including the sheriff department, the realtors, the Sallisaw Blue Ribbon Downs Horse Racing , Jack and Donna Jamison and all their aquaintances including that Chris Placker. Someone needs to blow those cases WIDE OPEN! Start with some NEWS COVERAGE to let the world know what is going on in Oklahoma!!!Find out who the heck is trying to sell the land around there and investigate! Set up a sting operation and get to the bottom of this mess!!!
Rainy I'd like to talk to you about quiet title actions and crooked real estate. You can reach me through the dallas craigslist warning ad I mentioned in an earlier post.

If you will consider the type of Law Enforcement you are dealing with in Latimer County, it is no wonder the Jamison Family has not been found! They were probably involved in the "little scheme". Look up Mr. Sheriff ISRAEL BEAUCHAMP... Latimer County Court Records..CM-2001-00431 ASSAULT & BATTERY CHARGE AGAINST HIS WIFE TALEENA!!!What a great Sheriff he must make! No wonder he won't answer the phone!! This is the type of people FBI OSBI is dealing with down there! Too stupid to even try to get that removed from the public record, before he takes the Sheriff job? Oh yea, I forgot. He probably doesn't have a computer or access down there in those hills! Much less knows how to USE one! Come on people, call Nancy Grace and get this in the National news. Otherwise they are going to sit down there and hope it all goes away -in time. Then JACK JAMISON CAN COLLECT THE INHERITANCE AND PAY EVERYONE OFF!!!! gET IT?????????

WOW, Russ I think you are right! Probably hit the nail on the head! That is why there is no interest in trying to find these people. Ole Mr. Sheriff called off the search in the beginning...WAY TOO SOON!!!!!Hmmm. This is a very tangled web and mystery, but from reading lately, SOME ONE IS FIGURING IT OUT!!!!!!!those people down there are too stupid. FBI will catch on to their act. Unless FBI isn't involved anymore. Anyone know?

No wonder SHERIFF BEAUCHAMP hides his face behind and under that cap!!!!I would too if I were YOU! There is definitely something fishy about this disappearance of the Jamison Family! I bet they wish they had 'SEARCHED THE TRUCK" BEFORE leaving it abandoned. I think it happened elsewhere and they drove the truck and left it there to throw OSBI - FBI off the trail. But just wait...FBI are professionals! Not some one horse wife beating Sheriff from the hills!

If anyone knows about quiet title actions I'd like to know what you know. Seems to me like it means people sell land, the buyer pays for years, pays it off then tries to file a deed and- boom -quiet title action. I'm not sure if that's how it goes because I am not a real estate expert, but that's how it looks to me, and there are a BUNCH of them. And seems like someone wrote about crooked real estate in the area? I'd like to know what that person knows too. Could also be quiet title is a routine thing, i don't know, but I'd like to find out. To anyone who wonders why I'm discussing real estate here it's because we were about to go to the same place (a little further up the road) to do the same thing the Jamison's were doing (look at land)

Thank you, thank you.

I don't know anything about the deeds. Maybe you could call a real estate broker and ask them.

I do hope you've thought about contacting LE to let them know what you know. I really think we are talking about the same company. They need to be checked out.

You found the tax records, there is also a list of MANY quiet title actions.(Which I would be happy to send you) I read about the quiet title, that is similar to what I found on it. Does it mean a routine thing or a scam? I don't know. One thing that I was waiting to hear about concerning the land deal was something about a title search, they never mentioned anything about the title search which would prove there were no other deed claims on the land. It's part of why I backed out of the deal. Noone ever acted like we were going to do a title search and I'm not paying anything on land without a title search.

Do you not have a lawyer do a title opinion before buying or closeing?Abstracts have to be brought up to date. These things are normal procedure before you can get financeing I would think!
