Having lost my own father in a similar, although not as horrific, accident when I was young, I have thought of nothing else the past five days! My heart breaks for the entire Bell family and especially the Bell child/children who have lost their father way too soon! My heart also breaks for the Naifeh children who will be forever scarred by their father's negligence! No child should ever have to endure what either of these families' children are going through!
I agree that there has been an awful lot posted about Tim Naifeh, but little information about the Bells. They are the ones who need our prayers and support the most right now, not Tim Naifeh. The saying goes, "you made your bed, now lie in it". Tim Naifeh made the decision to drive at a dangerously high rate of speed on a stretch of road known to be very dangerous. He voluntarily chose his destiny, the people whose lives he has DESTROYED did not make that choice!
Lets all turn this topic around and focus on the victims and show them our love and support! Lets show them that they are not alone in their grief and sorrow, that we are all grieving with them!
Well said!

I know it would be hard to see the truth in all of this if you are friend or family of Tim. But that does not change the facts. An accident is not an accident when you are breaking the law. For example when going 75 plus mile per hour in a 30 mph zone it is not an accident!(see the report). It required a decision on Tim's part that his needs were more important than the lives he could possibly endanger and eventually kill. He knowingly placed his foot on his gas pedal to reach that speed. It was a conscious decision. Whether or not he was drinking is a moot point. The law was broken on many levels and lives were lost as a result. Please don't insult us by calling this an accident and then saying you are praying for the Bells. They are dead. They can't tell us what this accident felt like. I have a feeling that while Mrs. Bell was being decapitated, something that could only be accomplished because of the massive rate of speed by Tim's car, she would not have felt like this was an accident at all. More like a vicious attack on her well being. In a way thinking he was drinking is a bit more easy for me to handle. Knowing he could have possibly been stone cold sober and made these decisions somehow makes it even more unbearable!

Tim had a heart blockage and passed out. No beer, no drugs, no speeding. All test are clean except for the blockage.

As usual people think what they want the answers to be and believe that. So put you name beside what you post so everyone can see your intelligence level.

I've thought of the Bell family every day and night since this horrific tragedy happened and have prayed hard for the teen boy. My heart lies with him and I feel very bad for him. I don't know how he lived through it and how he will suffer from those memories that forever have been placed in his soul. I have checked continually for any news on him and the family funerals and where one might send sympathy, flowers, prayers, donations or what ever else this family may need. If anyone knows, please post, it would be greatly appreciated by many. Thank you, and I hope and pray for justice for this boy and the rest of the family and the community. There are just not enough words to express the sorrow felt for this boy and his loved ones.
Check the site Karnes and Sons Funeral Home in Kenton, TN. Info is on there. Mr. Jack Bell passed away today. Please continue to pray for the Bell Family. No one that knows Mr. Naifeh seems to care about the Bell Family.

I'm sorry I don't believe that until I see the report. You don't do that much damage unless you are speeding.

Thank you Sherry and also to the other Poster who kindly gave this information. I was able to contact and have sent flowers for both Mrs. Bell and Son David this morning. I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Bell, but I knew he was just clinging to life. I am praying so hard for everyone and feeling even worse for 15 yr. old Jonathan.
Again there are just not enough words to express the sadness felt now and forever for this family.

Very funny ...do you expect anyone to believe that BS ??????? He was driving between 70 to 80 mph he was fully conscious or he would have went of the road intially how could he stay on the road for almost a thousand feet on curving winding roads passed out and maintaining high speeds while changing lanes passing vehicles. I hope you are not going to become a lawyer . Now three Bells are murdered by Tims wreckless behavior.

I absolutely agree, this is just a bunch of nonsense from some hotdog and we already know Naifeh was reported for speeding, passing and running someone else off the road prior to slamming into and over the Bell's and into the Fisher's.

Everyone pretty much expects some cockin bull story defense anyway, and here it is! par for the course. Best we just keep praying for the Bell family and young jon and let LE relay the citations and criminal charges as they promised.

Sorry but there are 3 mangled bodies that beg to differ with you! Even his closest friends won't be able to spin this his way...And you look foolish even trying! Heart blockages don't cause people to speed thru small towns taking out everything in their path. Too many witnesses this time...but nice try! Hey tho, if you truly believe the no alcohol, drugs or speeding thing I've got some oil rich alaskan land I'd like to sell you...

I am not family, but thank you for your kindness. I have known the Bells for many years and they are very good people. I went to church where Jeff and Kathy go when I lived there. Lots of good people who would do anything for anybody. This should have never happened.

Mr. Jack passed away around 12:30 today. Nothing has been listed because i'm sure Jeff and the rest of the family are just breathing right now. Give them time. They have already made 2 funeral arrangements, and now have to make a third. Pray for the family and stop arguing over petty details. Pray for Jonathan and the days he still has to face. Pray for Jeff and Cathy and the rest of the family as we put to rest our loved ones come Saturday. Thank you for all the prayers that have been received. We know God is watching over us and will continue to be with us through this time.

This is such a sad situation. I knew Tim many years ago when I lived in the area, he was just a teenager back then. I have a 15 year old son and my heart is breaking for the young man in the car with his grandparents and dad. I pray that he will not remember what happened during the wreck. There is so much of his life that his dad and grandparents are going to miss. Hopefully justice will be done and if it isn't......God don't sleep.

I have heard where Mr. Bell has passed. God Bless his sole. This family did not deserve this in no way.It makes me sick that some of these people that work for us thenk they are above the laws and think they can just do whatever they want behind the wheel as did Tim Naifeh. Yes I do understand he is bad off and I feel for his family, but what about the Bell's family that have lost 3 family members and that poor grandson that had to witness his daddy and grandparents getting killed because some idoit was running late to see his kid or whatever cheerleading. Oh, Please give me a break. Well, one thing it happened in Obion County so maybe the Bell's family will get justice and Tim will not just get a slap on the hand.
As I have said before and so many have said Tim has ruined both familes lives his and the Bell's by thinking he was above the law and did as he pleased. Well Mr.Naifeh, no you are going to have to pay the price. I really don't think anyone can get you out of this one!!!!

I hope that all these things they are saying about Nafeih are not true. But, if they are... I will be there to see that what he gets is the same justice that 99% of what most Americans would get when faced with under the same circumstances. All we hear about from folks are Naiffeh this and Naiffeh that... and Oh... "has timmy made any more progress today?... How about the two remaining children who were on their way to meet their parents for their wedding anniversary (around 60 years) How about the boy who had to climb out of a car that was covered with God only knows what, and for him to have to go out and make that phone call to those that love these people the most. They lose their Mother and Brother instantly and then remained bedside while their Father lay waiting for him to pass. But all we got to worry about is this here "city attorney"

City Man... I figure you got your's coming to you!
