Last [Sat. 1-26] night, did PBS show "Platoon" so that we could see those mean black plastic little light M-16s? There was a lot of shooting in this movie, our soldiers being shot and sent to heaven with commie AK-47s, while our soldiers were mean with M-16s. I am neither a media slut nor a conspiracy nut, but...it might merely be coincidental and curious, concerning our current [adequate] gun laws and modern [legal] semi-automatic black-plastic suburban-defense rifles making gun-hating liberals furious.

Subject: Why did PBS TV program “Platoon” movie?

“Why did PBS TV program 'Platoon' movie?”

On the night of Saturday, Jan. 26, did PBS/Channel 16 TV show us “Platoon”[a classic Vietnamese Civil War movie], so that we could see how mean those black plastic M-16 automatic/assault rifles and bullet magazines could be? There is a lot of make-believe shooting, wounding and killing in this movie; our soldiers being shot and sent to Heaven with commie AK-47s and being mean with M-16s. I am neither a [paid] media member nor a conspiracy nut. This PBS TV programming might have been coincidental instead of intentional; i.e., PBS people not promoting partisan personal political PAC-rat anti-gun agendas.
However, such and similar TV programming is curious [unlike liberals are about Fast and Furious], when one considers current events, self-defense and gun laws. Modern legal semi-automatic black-plastic suburban-defense rifles and magazines seem to make gun-hating liberals furious because we do not need them for our freedom…unlike the Second Amendment and guns.

That movie did not make me want to be mean with my Ruger Mini-14, even to shoot me some gooks.
