Yes, Punks is doing well, very well. Jacks, on the other hand, continues to be a very dangerous place to eat and drink. A few days ago there was a very violent fight between two vicious groups of blood-thirsty women. It started just after the dog fights, located behind the eatery/bar, abruptly ended with the death of three beagles. This is not a family establishment. It's a dangerous hell-hole.

I have never heard of dogfighting at this establishment, lots of other things happening but not this. Seriously how could they do such a thing right in town, someone would turn them in for sure. Especially after everything that has been in the press about that loser Michael Vick. I hope this one is just another vicious rumor.

don't worry, Candorperson, none of this is true...I mean, seriously? "blood-thirsty Women" and dog fights? It would be funny --and I almost did laugh for a second--- if the lies weren't messing with someone's livlihood. I have to admit that CJ's may not be the absolute best place in the world to eat (I'm not a fan of the cheap dollar-store decorations) but the food really is good and reasonably priced and I know the owners since our kids go to school together and they are good people. They are family and community oriented people. I don't know why anyone would want to bash them....just jealous I guess. I would never bring my children anywhere where this alleged activity occurs...it's all rumors and flat-out lies.

So now Calicos is up for sale. No surprise there. The owner would be better off if he sold all the commercial stuff, gutted the building and turned it into a multi unit apartment rental. Tioga County DSS would gladly pay the rent for some of the patrons. Plus they would send the check direct to the owner.

um yeah, let's turn it into low-income housing...that will make the surrounding property values surge
