Are ya kidding me? Forecast of 3-6" of snow warrants a call from the police chief? We live in the Midwest where it snows in the winter. This is not Louisiana. We know how to drive in it. We even have salt and snow plows to deal with it. I think we could have all survived without your call Chief. You can go back to looking for a job now.

Well it was closer to an appropriate use for this system, certainly much better than the OakFest reverse 911 this summer.

Still anyone with any history living in this area should know not to park on the streets after a snowfall. Getting a ticket for this should be considered a stupid tax. I don't see the need for the R911 call, but it wasn't really a misuse in my book. Now if they pull this BS to remind you to visit the upcoming FLEADH, that would irk me.

Using it more, NO. Using it the right way, YES. It should be used for BOLO for missing people messages, major crime alerts in the area, impending severe weather like tornadoes, etc. There is undoubtedly a cost involved for this technology, using it for trivial info is simply a way to "justify" its expense.

There is a difference between questioning your government's actions, or simply whining about them. It's important to let those entrusted with power know you are watching their actions closely.

Hey Dude why didn't the salt trucks come out earlier? I guess the Robo-Dude should have called the folks in the trucks to get some salt on the icy intersections!! Will we get a Robo-Dude to call on Tuesday and Thursday of this week? Soon all the dudes will be getting the Robo-Fleadh call to come, party and parade our big fat faces off! I love that Robo-Dude, sounds just like the real guys!

Hey De-man it was good to see you the other day at Blarney, let me know dude when you go again!! Your questions about ice sure is timely!! My ride slid right through one of those places, scared the living turds out of me! I sure hope those moes at PW are up to the task of this next snow Storm! my ride sure is not up to an icy crash dude! When you have a quick moment give me a call and we will go up for breakfast. I will be up a Blarney for the Breakfast before the parade.
