This is silly! As stated each official is elected in and revoted on every couple of years. That is everyones opportunity to vote any official out that they find not fit. The constant trouble this guy tries to stir becomes a bit like the "boy that cried wolf". And this Kris character if there is anyone less qualified or fit for a public official position it is him.

In some towns though, if they run unopposed they can be there a very long time, good or bad. Term limits might help entice others to run knowing the good old boys won't always be in charge. Even when they don't run unopposed, just because they win doesn't mean that they are the best or even good for the job. Sometimes they just have the right people in their pocket or enough people that follow them. Some people follow politicians despite how bad they are so saying that the people get to vote them out may be true, but sometimes the majority isn't right either. I think every office should have term limits, but that's just me.

And again, good people have to be willing to run which is often a difficult task unto itself.

It is good enough for the President of the United States of America, but not for little Towns like Tinley Park? Please these politicians should not be paid, should not have any type of benefits for that position. Lets see how many would stay in those positions.

Our founding fathers wanted term limits. Read up on how they wanted us to serve for a while in those positions and than back to our farms and such. They did not want anything that resembled a monarchy. No kings were ever supposed to be in America, now we even give the positions to there children.

Wake up oh great, quit drinking the kool-aid
