California vigilant in controlling spread of Oregon tree disease

On vacation we went through 5 National Forests in Oregon. There wasn't any
way to approach this besides doing nothing? It looks like they were neglected
for 3 years. I think that it effects other trees as well. As we came home, I saw
deciduous trees that looked like thay were suffering from the same disease.
Those forests are dead, not just Douglas Fir. I believe it was outside of
Willemete that as far as the eye could see all the trees were dead. A National
forest without trees!
