Hay Hauler Sentenced for Fatal Hit-and-Run
A hay truck hauler who lost about 28,000 pounds of his cargo on Highway 58 in Lane County last March was sentenced Tuesday for criminally negligent homicide and deadly hit-and-run. A Bonnie Puckett was transporting that hay from Christmas Valley to Tillamook when the incident occurred.

Judge got a pay off, but God will deal with Bonnie forever.God knows what he did to cause the death of that man,He shoulda got 20 years.Crooked judge taking bribes....Guess it will take something even worse to wake the greedy pucketts out of their greedy selfish spiritually dead downhill spiral...Kharma WILL catch up with them all. They are not invincible and better than everybody else like they think they are and $$ can not protect them forever from the consequences of their actions in this life..The king pin will probably have a massive coronary and the band will fizzle out, judging by the body shape of all the puckett boys they wont be far behind their pappy.

How sad,a family has to live without their loved one for the rest of all of their lives and this guy only gets 18 months...something is fishy in Denmark.

In this small town, where everyone seems to tend to everyone elses business and make comments along the way, what a shame that snide remarks need to be hurled at this man that must have had a whole lot of feeling running through him at the time he left the scene. Think about how you, yourself would feel if this had happened to you. I am not excusing his 40 violations or the negligent containment of his load but I can understand fear as well as an utter dismay at what had just occurred. The Puckett family does have money, but I have seen Tim Puckett give many times to help others less fortunate than himself. This, Mr Puckett does without fanfare or drawing attention to the fact that it was he that gave. I am not close with the Pucketts, but I have seen this side of The family patriarc that quite possibly others have not seen. It is easy to sit back and hurl stones, but just be sure you are without sin before casting the first stone.
