I couldn't agree with you more !!! I was born and raised here and I can't understand the reasoning behind the powers that be here. They support reverse discrimination(once a hispanic gets in chargeno anglo,black,othergets hired) pass laws they have no intention to enforce,Will Allow ILLEGAL ALIENS to completely overtake the city and ruin neighborhoods. Will not enforce codes and laws reguarding housing 20or more adults in a 2 bedroom house. Taxes that are sky high and are going to go up again, NO employment No entertainment.

Look at this! Oh what stewardship we have at the Corpus Christi city hall! By next year they should have us at the bottom of the list. Why wasn't this information in the news? The Forbes rankings for the Best Places in the United States for Business and Careers in 2007 now ranks Corpus Christi at 188. That is DOWN 17 places in only ONE YEAR! Our 2006 ratings were awful, but this is an outrage.

I met a person who was a newscaster for a local channel. He told me that he and everyone else that reports the news knows about all of the problems. He told me that the the editors, station owners and sponsors combined keep most of the serious issues out of the news. He also told me that a lot of the owners here know and are friends with the people in government so it is hands-off with any stories that may offend anybody. The news in Corpus Christi is really no news.

Did anybody else notice that the investigation of the crap in our water only covered the second incident? As I remember it, in the first incident that caused us to boil the water Skip Noe knew about the problem but did not call the local news to tell us about the problem so we could boil our water for a couple of days. The city whitewashes whatever they want.
