I have to report that having a nice taxi in town that takes medicaide and medicare payments is awesome. The drivers are prompt and nice as well...I am very grateful to live in a town that has these services. Without these new drivers I would have to impose greatly on my family to take me to all of my medical, dental and vision appointments. So happy !!!!

You should thank the working people who go to work every day to pay for these "free" services!!!

Thank you "Taxpayers!" There was a time when people had a little pride and families took care of each other...not any more! I've never lived anywhere that there were so many young adults who are still living with their parents and sofa surfing, mooching for years! Well into their thirties. Not even trying to get some kind of employment, even if was part-time. Disgusting losers.

Nice! We could use more taxis. We are slowly developing as a town, and we need to build more jobs focused on servicing people.

Nothing is as it looks. Prompt...I don't think so. I know of several complaints filed against one particular taxi service for medicaid for customers missing appointments, having them cancelled when they arrive late and not so clean and nice drivers who are extremely rude.

@you have no clue: Perhaps you are right, friend, however, taxis do appear to be a nice addition. It saddens me to know a driver may be unsatisfactory in their driving, but we must leave this to the owner of the business.

@AMEN: You know nothing of today's economy. Unemployment is a large issue, across the US. It's not that people are "sofa smooching", as you put it, but simply not enough jobs exist. Although I can understand your disgust, it is only resulting from your ignorance (and I mean this lightly). Also, you're use of "loser", is incorrect, as they do not work to live. They are indeed winners. In order to truly understand what is going on, you need to see past the obvious. You see "sofa surfers", while I see people who could use a job that currently doesn't exist. Think about it.

I do and I fought to preserve the rights of those people. How do you think I became disabled? It was overseas years ago. You should search your soul for some caring and consideration.

I have always been on time for my appointments and they even stopped for coffee once at no charge for waiting. The driver even helped me out of the taxi as I don't get around so well anymore.

How about if we ALL attempt to not be a burden on the taxpayers just because it's easy and convenient and "free." Because it's not free.

These services are what families, neighbors, churches a non-profits are for. Or used to be. Maybe not in Ti.

@Grateful- Thank you for your service, and I'm happy to know you were treated well.

@A burden- How inconsiderate. There is obvious proof that these taxi services are helping our fellow townsfolk. Taxis are the towns responsibility, not the church's, or other various "non-profit" organization's. People may start a taxi service privately, but the overall responibility of transportation (including taxiing), fall to our town representatives.

@Hero Rising
These taxi services are not the town's responsibility. These are run by the Paki's and are funded through Elizabethtown. They already own all the stores, hence the free coffee, and now it's turning into county funded transportation. Keep letting them prosper and rip ppl off.

EVERYONE is a VICTIM these days and has their hand out. I'm a vet. I'm disabled. I'm elderly. I'm unemployed. AND, I'm not doing one thing to help myself. RUN, RUN to E-town.

ALL on the backs of the taxpayers! Enough is enough!!!
thank you

I would gladly pay for a ride to the doctor for any vet (wounded or not) or any disabled or elderly person, that makes me a kind, considerate, caring, compassionate human being. There is always going to be fraud, those types exist too, but lets not throw out the baby with the bathwater. These are good programs.

I could use this service to take my older children to their appointments so I wouldn't have to leave work. Who do I call?

The young lady that drives one of the new taxis is quite fetching and polite too. The old taxi service in town is good too, but this cab company takes medicaide for payment to my appointments.
