I have seen the Nurses be very rude to the elderly. Ada when she was in the ER dept treat people like they were mentally challenged and loud as could be. Her voice could give someone a migraine. This is their last home they older folks should be treated with respect.

Every employee is given a drug screen and a background check prior to beginning work. I know of 2 CNA's that were fired for abuse so yes they take it very seriously. There are many problems at that nursing home but don't forget there are many people that are loving and genuinely care about their residents. If the original poster was so concerned for their family member they should have been more involved in their care. Comfort care does not mean do not treat and allow to die, it means they have looked at the quality of life and they are not going to intervene, the individual will be kept comfortable and the family always has the final say as to what treatment is given. No person will be euthanized, that's really taking this to far. Anyone that has concerns with abuse should immediately report their suspicions. Throwing random accusations on the internet wont help anyone.

As for drug testing at the nursing home, big deal. There has been and are many drunks who work there. Some downright trash. And we all know it!

I happen to know something about the hiring policy of that place, and I also know that a canidate for a good college is much better vetted than the people who are "taking care" for our elderly.

Why is it legal to kill are beloved pets that are and should be treated as family members. As humans we have less rights. If I am wriggling and suffering with cancer, hospice can only do so much I have seen it personally, why can't I if in sound mind inject myself. If I have a any type of palsey with only the ability to move my eyes don't I deserve to be allowed the choice to put myself out of misery before I get to that point. I will share a personal conversation I had with my mother she lives across the country and she said if I ever get a call that she has taken her own life that I should know it had nothing to do with how much she loved me. I now know with health issues of my own that she would be released of her struggle. I have heard of some terminal patients taking their own lives that to spare their loved ones from bankruptcy. For those that are gonna say I don't believe in God I do. I was given this life it should be my choice to stop my pain. Certainly I should be as egual to an animal.

We are all on camera, every where we go, all the time. The mall, the gas station, a small retail shop, now on the highways and street corners. In the parks.

WHY in hell are there not cameras in the nursing homes to protect the elderly???

this i all BULLSHIT, i worked there for 24 years and none of this is true. I have to admit that Administrtion is the problem and do not allow enough workers on each shift, but they all have helpers and enough staff to kiss their asses and let CNA'S go all the time without replacing them. When the State says cut back on payroll, that should not mean cut the CNA'S hours it means make some cuts in the offices.

I disagree with the term "murder". Death is a part of living. If someone is terminally ill and death is inevitable why would you want to shove tubes down their throat and kept alive on machines, feed them with a tube to keep them alive. I for one would want to be kept comfortable with pain medicine and kept clean, turned and positioned, It's called death with dignity. AKA Hospice, comfort care.

The Doctors , Administration and Staff all know. GOD will judge them and they are a SAD bunch of Cereal Killers who talk family's into allowing them to Euthanize, " Comfort Care " is their TERM, our loved ones through neglect. They do not administer vaccines ask requested to. They then do not treat illnesses that happen because the Resident didn't get the vaccine and allow the poor person to get so sick they cannot be saved. They are a SICK bunch who plan ways to kill that look to others as a natural DEATH, but are not at all. They lie about conditions and never share truth. They get their way, the Law Enforcement Agencies know and allow this behavior so know that amongst all of us in our society we are among Cereal Murderers at any time we are in public with others. You never know who you are standing next to. Every party with knowledge is a party to the CRIME and it is CRIMINAL HOMICIDE in the FIRST DEGREE. Because they are allowed by the Law Enforcement Agencies they are emboldened and believe they are funny in a most ignorant arrogant manner. Beware as they are SERIOUS bout what and how they do carry out their killing and plan according to the family they are dealing with. It's a shame our society has become so GODLESS. How can GOD BLESS a Nation that allows such SATANIC BEHAVIOR?
Cereal killers? Cereal murderers? Has anyone informed Tony the Tiger or Captain Crunch? They could be in big trouble.

This post is way out of bounds. Murder!! Cereal Killer??? The author of this post needs to realize how easy it is to find your identity. This is a major lawsuit waiting to happen. If you have proff take it to the D.A. Bring your evidence to her,if you have any (which I doubt) otherwise, turn off the drama. So sad!!!!

"Eyes", I am a healthy retiree would I be welcomed to volunteer? These cut backs aren't fair to the residents or the CNA's. I am going to be extra nice to my adult children hopefully I won't have to be in a place with all those cut backs.

You are "BLESSED". To answer your question, you would be welcome to be a volunteer if you want to do it according to their schedule they would make for you but not on a come and go basis? BE CAREFUL how you interact with the residents, you will be being watched closely.
Anything you say can and will be used against you. You have no Citizens Rights within the confined areas of that building and are at the Administrations and Nursing Staff's MERCY? When you pass through the front doors you enter HELL and are in SATIN's DEN.The State is OK with the Nursing Homes Policies of not allowing us the freedoms our Federal and State Constitutions entitle us to. As a matter of fact there is no Law Enforcement agency out there that will. The Nursing Homes are major contributors to Political Campaign Funds and thus are "PROTECTED"! GET-IT! The JOKES on US, DEATH TO US ALL their way one day.

I choose quality of life over quantity. How about you ? If I am terminal please keep me comfortable and not give me medications that will extend my misery. Just keep me at peace.

It was always just so-so. Some of the best nurses and aides are gone. I agree, it is scary! Knowing what I know... I truly believe that there are people there who could never pass a psychological exam!
