Let me ask u?when is the last time anyone from this county ever aspired to be something,,,or anything, all around the country you have people that have made great success whether it be in politics, acting, sports, enginee ring,discoveries..people u read about.people that have become infamous.people that want to give back to the world.people from all walks of life and all areas, whether it be big cities or little towns..you can have celebrity status people from the smallest out of the way and unknown towns..not here..what is your claim to fame..johnny podres..a great ball player.yes of course.and smart..he played for a downstate team called,,the brooklyn dodgers..and yes he also moved to queensbury..but first of all...that was 50 years ago..what have u had since?..and secondly,,he understood that to succeed internationally, get out of the adirondacks and make yourself into something..don't just sit there doing drugs, drinking, beating spouses and children, living off the system, stealing from friends and neighbors, and being a burden to the system..nothing in this life is owed to u..if u want something better for u and your family, work for it.. good luck to u.. I hope you and your families have a wonderful holiday season..remember,its a season of giving coming soon.I hope u can be the first to stand up and take the lead to help make the people of this county understand what it means to want something better.good things don't come easy.but the payoff is worth it

First of all success is measured in different ways by everyone. If you think being a celebrity or sports star is the only path to success then I feel basd for you. The Adirondacks have produced many successful people...authors, artists, business people, etc.A successful life does not have to be measured by ones fame or the almighty dollar.I feel sorry for you because I am afraid whether here or in a big city far away, you are not the success you proclaim everyone here to be unable to obtain. Perhaps a look in the mirror before you condem an enire community would help you get some perspective. Are YOU the sucess you claim we can not accomplish? Do you blame the place you were born for that? Theres nothing wrong with wanting something better but don't criticize those who are happy with what they have. A good job, a healthy family, happy children, thats the "payoff" that a successful person can boast. Money, fame, and being known around the world are not the only ways to be successful in this big world. I hope when you grow up you will realize that.

first of all.not once did I limit my obsevations to celebrities and athletes.I specifalcally wrote on politicians engineers and discoveries.obviously I was not looking to limit the spectrum of feats needed to consider oneself a success.com mon sense dictates all inclusively, every realm of all fields.secondly, what authors.artists.etc. r u refering to.please feel free to name as many as u can so I can once again point out percentagewise how this depressed area has extremely little to offer in bright futures for ,again, not all but the majority of its inhabitants..thirdly.you speak of people here being happy and doing all well to raise a family.again,no statements made by myself ever once specified that it was the entire population here, but ...percentagewise,the adirondacks have less to offer in a wholesome bright sense than do other areas.I have never seen welfare embedded in a people as I have seen here.generations of it.with no end in sight.the same goes for the mentality and abusive nature. Of people.once again.I am talking percentagewise of the entire park..a few bad apples don't spoil the bushel..but when u have more than a fair share of rotten apples, yes u have enough bad ones to make people reconsider buying from u...in a figurative sense of course..ii come a city that has slums,welfare.drugs.convicts,a busers,murderers,rapists..all walks of life.just like everywhere else.but around here.it stands out more because, unfortunatley, there is more of it on a percentage of its less inhabitant.and ,u can't argue that the local people are less inviting of outsiders here ,as oposed to a city, where many of the people are outsiders because it is a melting pot.but just the same, they don't care where you're from, they're just happy to meet u and talk to u.hope this clears the air.I mean no offense to the wonderful people I've met here, but I also don't appreciate a person labeling everyone from downstate as being the same,as my original post was directed .thanks for reading and,,,respnding in an educated tone.its greatly appreciated to converse with someone that has intelligence, wit and common sense....if u were a woman,I might want to marry you..lol.hope u and your family have wonderful lives,,oh and please pardon the typos..

Me thinks a poster has run out of meds. Holy cow, choclate or just Red Bull for breakfast?

Dealers are great. I had them install some back seat handcuff hold down rings and some electric locks for when I pick up hitch hikers and I don't want them to get out just yet.
