A casino would never survive financially in Ticonderoga. We have no hotels, no restaurants, etc. Where would the customers come from?
Isn't that the point???? If their us a draw their is a reason to build restaurants and hotels,?? It's a catch 22 we need both ventures for one to work. Why can't people be open minded and excited about prospects to improve Ticonderoga????

Will the casino take a Welfare debit card?

For those that don't know, a wigger is a white teenager that dresses, walks, talks and acts as if he is black. They wear their hair in corn rows, are attracted to shiny fake jewelry, enjoy bouncing a basketball, but maintain zero ambition, all the while in a rap music induced trance.

your right. why dont you open a hotel for the anticipated arrival of a casino in the lowes empty building. It makes more sense than utilizing already existing places with hotels that are struggling.

What would thrive there is an indoor carnival. Think of the locals that could man a freakshow of sorts and all their half breed relatives that would come to see them from far away places like Mineville and Chilson.

I personally am glad that the town leaders are narrow minded in this case. A casino in this town would be bad news. We have enough people spending thier money on the lotto at the local stores. Imagine what would happen if people could go to the casino. Not to mention the increase in alcohol and drug use. We dont need more of that here.
I'm confused on the increased drug use part of this comment. Do casinos sell drugs? Having a casino in the area would create jobs. Just in case there are people around here that might want a job. People play the lottery in the hopes that someday their number will come up and they will have more than enough money. You can't win if you don't play

LETS SEE...
CASINO IN TI=JOBS
CASINO IN TI=MONEY
CASINO IN TI=TOURISM
CASINO IN TI=GROWTH
IF PEOPLE WILL TRAVEL TO ATLANTIC CITY OR FOXWOODS THEN WHY WOULDNT THEY TRAVEL TO HERE.
A CASINO IN WILL NOT BE EYEBALLING LOCALS MONEY,ITS OUTSIDE MONEY....
IF LOCALS WANT TO SPEND THEIR MONEY THERE THAN SO BE IT.
I AM NOT A FAN OF CASINOS BUT I AM A RESIDENT OF TICONDEROGA AND IM SICK AND TIRED OF THIS TOWN BEING STUCK IN THE STONE AGES....I AM ALL FOR JOBS,GROWTH....IF A CASINO CAME TO TI THEN MAYBE MORE STORES,MORE MOTELS WHICH MEANS GROWTH..
COME PEOPLE GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASSES...
IT WILL PROB NEVER HAPPEN BUT IF THE OPPORTUNITY IS THERE THEN WHY NOT JUMP ON IT....MAYBE THE HOUSES THAT ARE UP FOR SALE MY GET SOLD....IT COULD BE A WIN WIN FOR EVERYONE AND NOT JUST TI..THINK OF THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES....LOOK AT THE SNOW BIRDS THAT LIVE IN TI,HAGUE,SCHROON LAKE...EVERYBODY WANTS ANOTHER GROCERY STORE TO COMPETE WITH WALMART...THAT COULD BE A REALITY FOR ANY BIG CHAIN TO COME HERE WITH CASINO...THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE YOU ALL GET NEGATIVE...
JUST MY OPINION

People travel to go to a casino. I know I do up North, Montreal, Las Vegas. More jobs would be great for the local economy.

Well after the zoning laws go through we will all have to move. Better attend the meeting on Thursday. The new zoning is more restrictve than APA. So they will decide to limit new tax growth and no new jobs here. If the town goes ahead with this I hope they start cutting services because we will not be able to continue to pay for everything. It seems to me that they are rushing this through without much thought. Where will the jobs come from if we throw away any chnace of growth? Look around at this area, we need jobs!
