He does not know enough about how the politics work to be in this position. He is making decisions without understanding who "really" takes care of what in that building. give him time and everyone will see how little knowledge he has to be in this position. He is a great person with some great idea's, but knowing how to apply them and get a job done when you don't understanding the politics of what you are doing will catch up with you, and probably sooner then later.
Just a thought

A new administration asking for resignations is common place on the state and federal level for non civil service and non merit system appointees. People in appointed jobs are reconsidered each time the administration changes.

I am glad to see someone on Topix with a brain. You are absolutely correct. I for one, spoke with Mr. Grinnell about some obvious things that need to be addressed and had a very enlightening conversation. It was not the usual rhetorical BS.

I'm rather surprised by that. I attended several Board of Education meetings during Mr. Grinells term and found him to be uneducated and a pot stirrer.
I did place a call to him when he took office and he never returned my call. I fear for our small town and even more so our budget. I think having people in key positions around you who have experience is a common sense issue, if he brings in all new hires who is going to train them????

Maybe you are the uneducated one, you can't even spell his name correctly. On another level, some of the people at the Community Building are not the brightest bulbs in the package. I have had dealings with a few of them and let me tell you, it's time for a change !!!!!!!! Maybe since your so smart you can volunteer to train them !

I'm the first to admit I could not run this town, I know my limitations. Should be interesting to see how it turns out.

This is an amazing statement, since most of the people in that building are NOT fashionistas. It's not nice to judge others about attire, when half the town look like slobs !!!!!!!!!!

Bill wasnt voted in. Debbie was voted out, and he was the only option. He will be a one term wonder. Who will be willing and capable to run this town next is the question?

If there is any board/organization that needs the "pot stirred," it's the school board. Failure, failure, failure. In fact, you could just those the "baby" out WITH the bath water. Are we still paying for the superintendent's so-called education?

I believe that nothing will ever change without some policy changes. Number 1: NO more nepotism. This is done, and has been done for decades, in businesses large and small, government agencies, non-profits. It's not rocket science.

Number 2: No more health insurance for serving on a board. Period.

Number 3: SERIOUSLY revisit how many employees that we need at the landfill, the town offices, the school.(You can get a good idea of how much wasted tax dollars are flying around if you just visit St. Mary's or the town library, etc.

Sounds as though Bill is doing his job down there. Thanks Bill! That is why I voted for you. Boo hoo he may be using some common sense in that building. It has been along time since we have seen a Mr Smith goes to Washington in this town. We are all loving it!

I take issue with that, no they don't get directly compensated, but when their spouse, sibling,or other party that's close to them reaps the benefit of a job,or a raise ,or other perk then they surely benefit. Do you really think they vote in raises that are way out of line with the raises the rest of us get without a "dog in the fight"?Do you have a clue? I'm not going to hijack this thread by naming names and going into who's kid gets hired, or who's related to whom,It's a small town ,we all know anyway, as textbook a case of nepotism as ever there was! Sadly they have hired so many "friends and family" that they have a voting block so large it's hard to overcome. And as for this thread,of course Bill dresses like a lumber jack, the majority of men in Ti dress the same,I call them taxpayers, Bill calls them "constituents" If you find that offensive the maybe Clifton Park is more your style,it's still a "mill town" Einstein.

Who cares how he dresses...at least he is active......he is looking into the things he said he would......he is the supervisor...not the president..........he hasn't been in office for a month! Obama is on his2nd term..look at his mess..I suppose you didn't vote for him either!! What we need in this town......is positive attitudes, folks helping folks, unity, and everyone pulling in the same direction . Some may call that a miracle......but if we all try it ...it might just get this town on the road to success!!!!!!!!!!
