Potential Law Suits

And the saga at Putnam Central School continues...

Some faculty and staff members at Putnam Central School are now being subjected to age discrimination. In a recent contract proposal, presumably drafted by the school superintendent, older employees were informed that they will be penalized by having to pay for 35% of their medical insurance after retirement if they don't retire within one year of becoming eligible. This provision is obviously being used to force older staff members to retire earlier than they might want. New employees salaries would be about forty percent less than what older teachers are currently receiving. By replacing older employees with younger employees, it will free up more money for continued pay raises to the superintendent. It will also leave the school without seasoned, experienced teachers. Plus, with more non-tenured teachers under his thumb, the superintendent will have more freedom to continue eroding staff benefits. Non-tenured teachers are unwilling to speak out against loss of benefits for fear of not receiving tenure. As union involvement has been stymied by a union president with her own personal agenda, it is recommended that those individuals affected by this change contact the local ACLU Chapter. They will help in filing a law suit against the school district for age discrimination - a school district that has given its superintendent cumulative raises amounting to $45,000 in the past three years, totally disregarding the financial well being of their long-term dedicated employees.

PUTNAM SCHOOL DISTRICT VOTERS. Vote down the proposed school budget in Tuesday's election. Insist that increase in the budget of over $40,000 be taken from the superintendent's salary. He seems perfectly happy to take benefits away from his subordinates, help your teachers by making him suffer as the teachers have suffered under his leadership.

I'm guessing this person is an employee from the school and is not happy,(They know to much that is going on at the school)or a good friend or relative.My suggestion is to give up your job let someone else work there if your not happy. Many of people would like the chance. I don't know the superintendent but maybe he is looking out for the school. There is also alot of work to his job,with working for all the grants,paper work,and to me putting up with people who do nothing but complain. I'm thinking that he/she would not like to be without a job any more than the other people who work there.I don't think that this is the place to discuss this go to the school board meetings and discuss it with the board members. But.... TO LATE NOW to busy putting it on the internet instead of going to the board.I'm sure it was up for dicussing if you wanted to talk about it.

OYE: are you from around here? If so, you must know from town or school board meetings they are so cut and dried and previously discussed and voted upon probably by phone calls that it is a useless waste of time and talk to try and get some things changed at these meetings. there maybe "no closed door meetings" per say but the discussions etc. continue behind closed doors. Wake up and smell the coffee, be real

Behind closed doors in executive sessions at school board meetings the superindented speaks poorly of his subordinates and calls them liars as well. This is of course without any substaintiated proof whatsoever. Instead of investigating his accusations, the school board takes his word for everything he says. Come on board members, why after all these years of faithful service to the school do you believe that self-serving newcomer over your long-term loyal teachers? Just take a good hard look at the successes previous Putnam Central School students had before your current superintendent arrived. As a teacher at your school, he spend most of his time finding places to hide so that he could read novels he brought to work, or sitting in the past superintendent's office chatting for hours on end. He obviously had no compassion for teaching as he could have spent those hours helping students in need, and if he honestly thought other teachers on the staff were not up to par, he could have helped them be more than he currently thinks they are. He lies about people because it fits his agenda. By lying about his staff, it shifts the focus from him and it would seem his lying about others has helped ingratiate himself in the eyes of the board members. The superintendent could well teach classes in the art of lying. The superindentdent has stated that ALL teachers at Putnam Central School are certified to teach their respective classes. The music teacher at Putnam Central School is not certified to teach any subject in New York State. Yet, in addition to music, she teaches English language arts. Proof of her non-certification is supported by the fact that while she has been teaching at Putnam Central School for many years, she has yet to be tenured. Without the appropriate teaching certification(s) one cannot be tenured. So, why would the superintendent knowingly let his individual teach classes she is not qualified to teach? It gives him total control over her. He and she both know he could terminate her employment any time he wishes if she doesn't agree with everything he says. A note of interest here, he previously fired two teachers for being non-certified, needless to say these individuals did not like the superintendent nor what he was doing to the school. He lied to the school board concerning the music teacher's certifications because it is to his advantage to have a loyal subservient employee on the payroll (albiet forced loyal subservience).

Putnam residents. Please vote down the school budget on Tuesday. It is important the school board realizes the community is aware of what is going on at Putnam Central School and wants something done about it. Voting down the budget will let the board know in no undertain terms that you are unhappy about the treatment of your teachers and how some teachers are being manipulated into enhancing the superintendent's self serving goals.

Check to see if your Putnam Superintendent takes the time off to go to Chief School Officers Monthly Meetings and rarely shows up there?

Hmm, reminds me of the traits of a serial bully. Here are a few:
- is a convincing, practised liar and when called to account, will make up anything spontaneously to fit their needs at that moment
- has a Jekyll and Hyde nature - is vile, vicious and vindictive in private, but innocent and charming in front of witnesses; no-one can (or wants to) believe this individual has a vindictive nature - only the current target of the serial bully's aggression sees both sides; whilst the Jekyll side is described as "charming" and convincing enough to deceive personnel, management and a tribunal, the Hyde side is frequently described as "evil"; Hyde is the real person, Jekyll is an act
- excels at deception and should never be underestimated in their capacity to deceive

is it true that putnam has the highest rate of incest and inbreeding in New York State. i saw a report from the governors office that said that putnam is in the top 3% of the state for incest and 2% for gay relations per capita.
