Go to the Four Corners and count the signboards stuck in the ground -- all illegal. If there was any zoning enforcement in Ti the first one would have been removed, now there are 30. Some stick into the road and are dangerous. The town looks like a junkyard, so a slaughterhouse isn't so bad. See, it's all relative.

Kosher meat is also halal. Even larger market possibilities.

Whoever is the owner of the proposed business, have you thought about dedicating part of it so that it could be "kosher"?
I know that you have to meet certain criteria to get the "kosher" labelling (**sp**) and many meat packing places don't.
Think about it. If you offered that, you just might bring in even more future business.
just a thought.

Not an appealing business. And they're asking for a huge tax exemption. REALLY. Who's going to make sure there are no horses slaughtered there in the dark of the night when the USDA inspector has gone home? STINK? You betcha - the whole thing stinks.

People there is nothing wrong with this at all. It is going to bring 15-20 jobs that will pay 30K a year. Also I have never smelled anything bad when driving down in whitehall near that place. People will complain about anything, maybe they are worried they will apply for a job and get it, and lose their unemployment check they have been getting for the last 99 weeks.

ann: i respect all your points.
here is mine: horses can now be slaughtered. i don't know if beef and horse meat can be processed together, but the plant could ultimately process only horses. The crammonds collect cheap horses from canada PMU. If Peter Ward will guarantee that no horses wiull be slaughtered here, I would withdraw all my concerns.
By the way, how do you feel about a track nearby? Seems like that would attract jobs and tourists, too. That has been overturned by the town.
Spoke with the wards. It's a guarantee no horses will be slaughtered there

Concentrate on dentistry. Your practice refuses to help me because I missed an appointment due to a death I'm my family and a second time due to work emergencies. Sorry I cannot predict the future. So now you refuse to see me or my family due to missed appointments. We have private insurance not Medicare or Medicaid we get so to choose now. Your wife the hygienist does not floss me when she cleans my teeth. This is odd. I am calling the nys office of professional conduct. It is he first time I have my teeth cleaned and no scraping, and no flossing. Odd.

Yea. I heard that Pete Ward and that businessman from tipi are in deep together on many projects one of them being saluter house. And some of you complain about jobs coming in all you do is bitch about the ones who bring the jobs to this town. Who cares where the money comes from as long as jobs are braught with it. Losers.
