I can only hope the board gets up off their butts and goes after casino for Lowe's building. This would be a great jump start in community

A Casino would not work here. The investors would never consider Ticonderoga. I wouldnt. But we should support it going to Lake George. Believe me it will help our area.

Would help tax base out in ticonderoga, check out taxbase in Saratoga. Would be great for resturants, gas stations and motels. The state already said would be great spot and been brought to boards attention, but hasn't been followed up on

Maybe 'casinos' would be great in big cities...but I don't believe in Gambling...Many people will get addicted to it..and then the State will have another problem!!!

Saratoga gets so many perks from having it there, people go there for weekend getaways from ti and surrounding area.It would pull from Vermont and Plattsburgh Glens Falls .Generating money flow to Ticonderoga and the county . It's a no brainer to not push for it.All the board members should be replaced if they don't try to get it in Ti. No I don't gamble ,I'm looking at it is a money generating avenue for the town.

Ticonderoga would be a good location to open a casino and it very well could jump start the economy. Indiana has two fairly new ones (Grand Victoria Casino and Argosy Casino) located in farming communities along the Ohio River. They are day trip drives from some major metro areas. Once the casinos opened, hotels, motels and restaurants opened. Also, a large RV park with a farm theme was built. Once the casinos became established, some investors and NASCAR built the Kentucky Motor Speedway across the Ohio on the Ky. side. The casinos turned a Crown Point size town into a thriving community and even though Ky. continually votes down having casinos, we are reaping the benefits on our side of the river. If there is a casino, people will travel to get to it.

Thank you for positive input on this .More people need to open their eyes to see community growth and jobs for the area.

Are you nuts? Every moron who pays 10 bucks for smokes and drops their paycheck on lottery tickets would fill the place. Be careful what you ask for. You are clueless.
