Is anyone else having trouble with their Time Warner Cable TV? Is your picture freezing or are you receiving a blank screen when you switch channels? It seems to have been happening for quite a while.

Yes mine is freezing on channel 3 if you want to call it that but I haven't bothered to switch channels to check other channels when it happens as it eventually straightens out.

I had trouble watching the Giants game on Sunday on Fox, both regular and High Def. All the other staions seemed OK

Yes it's not letting me change channels I have to turn mine off and turn it back on to change it. And some of my channels go black and freeze.

Hey Vern, it may be cheaper, but whenever we get a storm, mine freezes, blacks out, goes thru the restart procedure, or pixels up. Did I mention the dish filling with snow? Sometimes it's out for days.

Was not a pretty time in our house on Sunday. We too are Time Warner customers for now. Probably will not be that way for long though. He looked forward to that game for so long that he is ready to switch to Direct TV. Tired of not being able to change the channel either.:(

yeas mine has and it's always when I'm watching pawn stars or hardcore pawn. so we called them and they said nothing was wrong,we scheduled a time to come check, then all of a suddeen there were problems and they think they have it fixed.we are paying 150.00 a month and we don't get credit when wae have no cable. another thing is that the new people signing up gets the package way cheaper now, can't wait to get out of the contract, and it's 2012 and no phone service when the cable goes out. what's up with that? going back to verizon for phone service

These problems stem from fiber optic cable and digital signals. The problems will never be resolved with the older cables on the poles and guess what....there won't be any new cables soon.

Any time you have trouble call the cable company at 1-866-321-cable and always ask for a credit until the problem is resolved. I had called on the freezing picture and blank screen and actually set up an appointment. I was called before the technician arrived last week and he told me there was a local problem. I call again on Monday and they told me there was no area problem. I am now waiting for a member of management to call.

It's been my experience that it's like pulling teeth to try to get good customer service from Time Warner Cable. I was a customer for years and it was always a battle for sub-par service. Talking to service representatives was futile and I would often get the "run around". I can recall only receiving a credit just one time in 7 years, although there were ongoing issues with services. So much for appreciating customer loyalty. I decided that I was no longer going to pay a premium price when "new" customers at least got a price break - and I consequently had everything turned off.

I just switched over to ESPN2 to watch Baseball Tonight and the screen froze for a few seconds then went black. A few minutes later I switched back it it was showing the BET Network. WTF? All the problems seem to have stated about less then a year ago when they updated to the current operating system. There has been nothing but problems since. Delays in reaction times, audio syncs off, pixelated picture, channels blackout, on and on. Unfortunately Direct TV is just as bad.

The problem is actually in your cable TV control box. I took mine to Time Warner and got a brand new one and the problem was solved. I can flip through 20 channels in 10 seconds and the picture never freezes.
Keep paying Time Warner big buck$ for crap programming and 5 minutes of commercials for 5 minutes of programs.

No these problems do not stem from fiber optic cables because time Warner does not have fiber optic cables in Ticonderoga! The only fiber optic cables in Ticonderoga are the new ones that Bridgepoint communications just put in. Time Warner sucks that's all there is to it. The new sign ups are getting it cheaper for the first year then it doubles AND you're stuck in the contract for 3 years so you have to pay it! Waiting for Bridgepoint to come my way! Fast and courteous service right there.

Newsflash: ALL TWC boxes are refurbished. They do not have "new" cable boxes at all.
