Am i wrong, or wasn't Debra Malaney appointed the Town Supervisor?
Seems to me that between Amy Quesnel and Jeff Cook , they think they run the town. Debra should start speaking up. Jeff never said too much as the Police Chief. Now he thinks he runs the town.
Amy runs her mouth, she's just a secretary. She's too involved in
things that don't concern her.

Jeff Cook should run for supervisor. He is honest and cares about the people in this town. He cares about people in general. A good man for sure.

Deb Malaney wasn't appointed to anything, she was elected which brings me to another point what is the deal with the "deputy" position. Shit, the both of them seem to get less done with more and more resources than Bob did when he was supervisor without a deputy.

Let's stop with all the bullshit laws and do some effective planning and execute that plan. Hire a gosh darn grant writer. Hire an effective code enforcement officer.

It's business as usual in this town. It has always been a close knit group of people with the attitude that their sh*t is ice cream. Enough is enough, taxes, bad roads, messes all over. One perfect example: at Christmas time they put up lighted wreath on the poles and 75% had burnt out bulbs. The town road crew goes around scraping bare pavement, with hours of overtime.... They need to hire a town manager and pick a viable candidate. They need to have them sign a contract to provide exemplary service to the town. If they fail to do so get rid of them, instead of putting in their relatives.

There has always been a deputy supervisor, there has to be! Joe Michalak was Bob's. As for Amy, she absolutly oversteps her job description! Could be because her father still has his fingers in the town pie!!!!

Jeff Cook as Town Supervisor are you kidding!!!! You should be around when he goes into on of his fits of rage, just who I want representing my town. As for Amy she isn't a secretary she is a accountant, and lets face it she knows more than Deb and has been there a lot longer and seen it all. Just work there for awhile and you see people in their true light.

Jeff Cook Supervisor! You're kidding me. Mr. Know-it-all. He has "Bucket" on the highway committee dictating who can work on mowing and who can't. Some representative. The last I knew Amy was the budget officr. Sometimes she offends people who want to spend money like it grows on trees. I'm glad she's watching the purse strings. "Know it all" would bankrupt the town. Paying highway workers to mow lawns is absolutely assinine. So sad.

Does Ms. Quesnal have a degree in business?

she has the degree necessary to do what she was hired to do. Often times she is asked to do things that are not her job, but needs to be done, and she has the education to do these things as well. The real problems there have been there long before her and will be there long after this group leaves too. poor decisions through many years have brought us where we are not just the recent decisions. One group can not fix in a few years what the others have done wrong over many more. when people with new ideas run for a position condsider voting them. Usually people are not open enough to give new people a chance because many in this area are still stuck in 1940 and don't like change.

"she has the degree necessary to do what she was hired to do. Often times she is asked to do things that are not her job, but needs to be done, and she has the education to do these things as well."

The problem is that she sticks her nose and her opinions in where they don't belong! She is an accountant and that is the only "job" she needs to do. Give the facts pertaining to her job and leave the personal opinions (hers or her father's) out of it!! She also has the worst dispostion of any public employee we have!! A smile would crack her face!

Last I knew working for the Town of Ticonderoga wasnt a popularity contest, she doesnt have to smile at you to have a job. She goes to work does her job, does it well and leaves I dont give a shit if she smiles or frowns. Maybe if some of you based your opinions on how she did her job instead of how she looks the town wouldnt be in the toilet.

Thank you duhhh. Exactly. It is too bad people feel you have to be liked to be good at something. In part that is what got this into the trouble it is in! People were voted on being liked as if it were a high school prom, and not on weather or not they can do the job!
Quesnal Syndrome

Gansevoort, NY

#15 Mar 6, 2011
Hey does your Town suffer from Quesnel syndrome?

You know the signs when the Police, Town and other key positions are up for grabs by the same people over and over contributing to the basic issue of the "SAME OLE< SAME OLE policies and general insider bullshit which leads to a stale economy and noting changing for the last 25 years.

Sure sign of Quesnel poisoning is the Horrendous attitude and general ugliness of a face that has the most evil scowl on it 24/7.

One your town has a Quesnel infestation it will eventually lead to everything smelling like crap and making people leave in disgust.

I believe Jeff Cooke is setting himself up
for Supervisor. Maybe Bucket will go as his right hand man. Round and round we go..

So, when bob was there it was this syndrome, and before him as well?? Because she has not been in there as long as this town has been in trouble!
Seriously...stop blaming one individual and start looking at the process and the offices as a whole. It takes more then one person to bring down an entire community, and the people who live here, not just those in office contribute to it.

Bucket? Waaahaha. He wouldn't get his own mothers vote. Kinda like Grinell, a legend in his own mind. But then the town could sponsor those crack/mud fests.

Is Bucket, the Rafferty boy? I believe he's the one that was or maybe still practically lives at the town shed. Isn't that a liability, being that he doesn't work there? Well, now he has a foot in!
Thanks to his buddy Jeff
