Big difference between running a contractor business with 3 or 4 employees and running a town! He was a skilled builder, I'll give him that, but a people person he is not. Thinks he is way better than everyone else, always has....arrogant, conceited and condescending. His own son couldn't stand to work for him and quit!
...and remember....he has to have the ability to get others to vote in his favor on issues....AGAIN...he is only a 1 in 5 vote when it is time.....Hope he can be nice enough long enough to convince others of his views. No one walks into this position and just does what they want, unlike what people voting seem to think.

Lets just hope the "5"put their pet projects and personal aspirations on hold and let their decisions reflect the wants and needs of the taxpayer. And just to clarify what I mean, nothing in Ti.really needs expanding as our population is slowly declining lets just take care of what we have and keep it functional.Increases in line with the tax-cap are about all we can afford, hope they keep that in mind.

<quoted text> why you ask. its simple the $$$ Money and the free insurance this town is one of very few that pays for all the ins.. for the board members an the superviser with no cost to them at all. where some of the worker pay a portion of the ins.. the board geats it free or they can take a buy out of $3000 or so. and then you have WAYNE TAYLOR who can take the county buy out and the towns buy out an use his wifes ins an put all the money in his pocket pretty good gig for him. thers one thing that could save us tax payers some money stop giving the board free ins
This insurance buy out is so wrong for the whole county. This practice should be stopped. The little worker does not get these perks.

Good point.

Voter, c'mon now. Deb's not a witch! In fact she's a charming, lovely person who does care very much about this town. What she didn't have is the education, skills, and experience she needed to be effective. That doesn't make her bad - certainly not a witch. Just ineffective as a supervisor. That's not a crime. She has courage - that's for sure! You don't do what she did, meaning run for office (in a town known for eating its own) and stick her neck out so we can sling axes at her- without tremendous courage.
I, for one, haven't that kind of courage. I hide behind anonymity here. Just like you.

i dont care what he is as long as he can get the natheral gas/propane line into Ticonderoga. DO U realize how big that would be for the people of this town. mega savings VS oil. Deb malaney never even asked or inquired about it.And thats one of the reasons she's out. not to be rude but she knows nothing about running a town no less putting gas in her car.lol good luck MR Grinnell take us to the top and dont let us down.

I agree. This may also bring in other industry to our town. Low energy equals more profit. I think Grinnell being able to supply Ti with natural gas would change this town. The bottom line is we need more jobs with decent wages. No community will be prosper without jobs! Every politician in this area should be working to bring jobs to this depressed area.

Intimidation wrote:
"Intimidation" sounds a LOT like bullying! Which is exactly what we tell our children not to do. Do as I say and not as I do.
Well, guess what? Sometimes people who "intimidate" end up on the wrong end of their bullying. That people of Ti--the ones that care any longer, that is--have had enough of plain stupidity and more than enough of "intimidation." Watch and see.
As I said, many people do not understand what it takes to be a strong, effective leader. People are naturally intimidated and/or wary when opposing a strong leader. It comes with the territory. The leader's job is to convince the opposition that his way is the best for the long term health of the organization. Look up the difference between intimidation and bullying. In leadership, bullying is a behavior, intimidation is a feeling a strong leader projects because of the fact that he is strong, well researched, and confident. If people oppose a strong leader, they know they better have their stuff together. It appears some interpret Bill's strength of personality as being a bully. In any event, Bill is your supervisor and time will tell if his leadership skills are effective. I bet they are.

Vermont is still fighting the upheaval and mess it is and will cause the people (and land) of Vermont just for the benefit of IP.

If you think IP is going to jump on a little town boss's ambition to make gas available to the general public, then you are sadly mistaken. It's all about IP. That's where the pipes will stop.

Don't forget, you do not have any control over the price of that gas, or the many "surcharges," and you never will.(And, gas comes with it's own issues.)

Do not worry yourselves too much, my friends, family, and neighbors. I am currently in the process of preparing myself to run for being your representative in town office. I will not be like your other representatives. I will correctly represent you. Keep your will strong, your mind sharp, and do what's right. May you all have a nice day, and I look forward to working with you all to make this town a better place!
