I would LOVE a gym here in Ti that doesn't cost $65/month, but has quality equipment, open long hours and I would LOVE the opportunity to hire a qualified trainer to work with me. I looked into Northwoods - Price was right, Quality of equipment was wondeful( a little lacking in types of equip though) but her hours just wont suit me. Best Western has been my best choice so far but the motorized equipment is always breaking down, and the monthly fee is crazy for what you get. My own personal conviction is that I will not go to the gym owned by JG... but the price seems good - I have heard the equipment is pretty rough though. Its been years since I've tried the gym in Crown Point and I had No complaints when I did - I just didn't like to drive that far for the gym. Years ago there was a guy named Mike who had a gym downtown - he was a personal trainer too...I hired him to work with me three times a week - he was great! I'd love that again.

I agree with almost everything you said. I wish Northwoods had better hours because it really is a great gym with a reasonable price. You can't have a day job and be a member there because you are unable to go before or after work and it's closed on Sunday. I hope they read this post and consider it!!! It really is a great place.

Well they had a beautiful gym in Ti above the Knights of Columbus but they didn't have enough business to make a go of it. And Curves finally closed because they didn't have the business. As for prices the gym in Crown point is only $40/ month. But thats not if you want a personal trainer to meet with you. If you want a personal trainer it costs, but its worth it. And its cheaper there than places like Middlebury or Glenns Falls where they offer personal training. And really how far is Crown Point? Don't let a 10 minute car ride stop you. You're worth it!

Did you see the equipment that gym had? It wasn't "gym" equipment, it was "home" equipment put in a "gym". Not very good quality. The price was good, but the equipment wasn't.

I couldn't work around the Northwoods hours, either. And Curves closed because it wasn't open enough. I joined and three out of sic time I want it was closed.

I would love a decent gym here. As to Best Western, it's very expensive for having no locker/shower facilities, and no free weights, etc. And it isn't a lap pool, which would be wonderful. When I drove to Moriah I found that the pool there is always taken up with specific groups and it's impossible just to go do laps.

Sad to see WillPower go. Anyone that thinks that the equipment there was not adequate to get a fantastic workout is delusional.

I had a member ship to the best western for 5 months last year the treadmill was always broken and the eliptical was not working well either. the mangement theere was rotten to it's patrons and we went almost everyday. it is a good gym but not for 65$ a month when there is only a few pieces of equipment to choose from. i would be all for a good clean gym with flexible hours.
