Has anyone else found bugs in the Wal-Mart Great Value Brand of pasta? I returned several boxes with hundreds of little crawles.
I suggest you dump the pasta into a bowl before adding it to boiling water.

I stopped buying it because it doesnt cook the same as some of pricer brands. It would taste undercooked even when I let it go past the suggested time. This is just further proof that you get what you pay for!!

i quit buying it because it cooks up gummy and kinda brown looking. I rather spend a few more cents and get a quality brand that will compliment my pasta dishes. dod you know that the same comany that makes that great value brand also makes big roy dog food? I worked at the bentonville arkansas branch for 10 years. they supply wal-mart with all kinds of food products or should i say byproducts. If you knew what you was eating in wal-mart brand products, you would probably puke. The canned juices??? Ive seen illegal mexican piss right in the vats before it got to the bottle plant or the canning line. i rather go to reasoners or save-a-lot and get good stuff. Dont buy meat at wal-mart, 75% of the beef is really dyed horse and mule. thats why it has so much red liquid in it.

Please justify your responses and information. I would like to see the sources you get this information from. If it is true, provide valid proof if you can.

As disgusting as it may be these same things could be happening at the plants and factories where the more expensive products come from.

let say its very heavely radiated. horse meat dont spoil as fast as beet if bovine hormone is given to the horse for 90 day pryor to butcher. as far as the illegals pissing in the vat, i cant proove what ive seen with my own eyes no more that you can proove that a ufo flew over lake goerge in 1998. it just one of them things. I quit that job and went to work at simmons chichen factory. the are the biggest suppler for KFC. and that another place i will never eat. and yes it could be happening in other plants, poor quaulity control and illegal employees make for some discusting diets. I dont know if you all have sonic drive ins back there or not, but check this out, http://www.wltx.com/news/story.aspx... fast food places are another thing we quit doing in the corn belt.

That is interesting because I was feeding my two dogs Ole Roy dog food and they started to dig at themselves and lost hair!!! I took them to the vet and had tests done, everything from mange to fleas and found nothing. Put her on expensive organic food purchased from the vet and she was fine. I slowly switched to Iams and have never had another problem. Scary who knows what she was eating.

so in other words. when they have to go potty, they go where they can. in produce field.factorys whereever they can hang it out an whizz. its a fact of life. http://historymatters.gmu.edu/d/7030/
laws have been made, but as everything else, employers still push for production. when you have 500 migrant workers out in the middle od a 5000 acre field and they have to piss, do you think that field boss is going to pay them to walk to a shithouse?? not hardly. most of them get paid by volume picked. below minimum wage. if you dont belive me, do some reasearch yourself. you might just change the way you eat.

Im so sorry to hear about your dog. Out here we call it poor old roy. the reason being, thats what an old cowboy said when his faithful old dog roy died from eating old roy dog food.

I also returned walmart pasta that had bugs in it. I know I wasn't the first, and I feel the store has a responsibility to inform the consumer of the situation. Obviously, nothing was done.

I always buy Walmart brand food. I use the canned food, frozen food, pasta and just about everything else. I love the Great Value Brand. It priced lower than named brand foods and I think that it all tastes great.

I have a boxer and we were feeding him Ol Roy dog food from Walmart and he also lost a lot of his fur. We took him to the vets and we were told it was the food that he was eating. We switched him to Purina fish and rice and he is doing great now. It is pretty scary what they put in the dog food or any other product.

well i have bought pasta at wal-mart, and it wasnt there brand, it was P & R, and i opened 5 boxes with guest in my house for a nice spagetti dinner, on christmas, and guess what all 5 boxes had worms in it. we had no dinner for xmas cause wally is closed on christmas. needless to say this can happen with any pasta or even flour. makes you wonder what they spray on the wheat. look at banana's they have bugs that hatch. fruit carries these creatures all the time so dont eat a fresh bought apple!!!

Me too. I used the walmart pasta last weekend and it was fine. I haven't had any problems. I am not sure if it is walmart that packages that stuff. I am sure that if it happens often and is reported they would check into it. They have to. I always buy their brand products and have had great success with them. An no stock in walmart.
