I want to buy cisco firewall to protect my network Security. My friends suggest my try to use Cisco ASA5505-SEC-BUN-K9 or ASA5505-BUN-K9 for they are best solutions for small business, branch office, and enterprise teleworker environments by integrating world-class firewall, Unified Communications (voice/video) security, SSL and IPsec VPN, intrusion prevention (IPS), and content security services in a flexible, modular product family.. Because i don't know much about those firewall products. So I want to know what's the difference between them ?

Firewalls are security software that only allows traffic through certain ports. IP, or Internet Protocol, is a term coined for interaction on the internet. IP addresses are protocols assigned to your computer via regional servers that run traffic through them. VPN, or Virtual Private Network, is just as it says. Proxies are servers the execute protocols under certain circumstances, ranging from giving out different types of certificates, to masking your IP address. I wish I could help you more, but you have not clearly stated what it is you want the program to do. I hope this has helped.
